Whilst walking my dog, a few of autumns ago, I saw a little red-breasted robin on the ground by the side of the pathway we were walking along. As I moved closer to the bird, I honestly thought it would have started squeaking or thrashed about or flown away from me, but it stayed in its place - this worried me beyond words, so I put my hand out, and it jumped onto the palm of my hand. As I lifted up my hand to take a better look at the bird, it looked back at me, as if to say "nice to meet ya"... it then flew away. It was such an amazing experience!! Nature is so very beautiful and magical too 😍💕

I miss her so much. she died on July 31 5:30 pm. she did such great work and loves those birds even the ones that she hasn't had since birth. she had many species of bird. and no she wasn't crazy she just loved to help animals. if they we sick she would nurse them. she also had cats and dogs that's she raised from babyhood. I'm going to name my business after her (Virginia Gardner Rescue Center) I believe I was put on this earth to help animals and people like she did. i want to be like her and help people and animals like she did. she was a missionary and would travel to the 3rd world countries and give them food,water,clothing, etc. any thing that needed so ever since I was a 2 (my mom told me this part) I have wanted to be a vet to all animals, rescue them, and help people. so me and my mom decided that for NY high school graduation we are going to help the people in Guatamala and Africa that need it.

A lot of people seem to think Squeaker is actually a thrush, which is technically true. American robins are a variety of thrush, but Squeaker is a robin. When American robins are young, they have speckled chests that make them look a lot like other thrushes and their red feathers do not develop until they are fully mature. Squeaker's back feathers are much darker than other North American thrushes (which usually range from a light to reddish brown) and his calls are absolutely those of a robin. The later videos of Squeaker were taken before he had completely matured and gained his full adult feathers, which is why he looks similar to an adult thrush. Just thought I'd share some info; incredible video and bless this woman for helping him.

Sydney is so right! Most bird species do not develop their bright colors until they are nearly mature and well able to fly. The baby birds are vulnerable to predators so their bland, mottled colored plumage helps camouflage them until they develop their adult feathers and master their flying abilities.
@dieterhauer86195 жыл бұрын
Question... Is Squeaker a male or female? I always heard that the males are more colorful.
@sydstarlyng82045 жыл бұрын
@@dieterhauer8619 Yes, males tend to be more brightly-colored than females, although the brightness of a robin's feathers may also be affected by things other than sex (such as its diet and age). As a result, you can't always tell a whether a robin is male or female from appearance alone, especially when the bird is a juvenile. Even with their adult plumage, male robins that are only a year old will also be less brightly-colored than older males, so they might appear to be a female even if they are a male. In short, it would be difficult to accurately determine Squeaker's sex based on just the video footage as he (or she) is still relatively young. Sorry I can't answer the question, but I hope that helps a little.

Once I helped a squirrel that was drowned in cold water . I see it and directly take it to my home started to warm him up..... After few minutes he is okay. I leave him in a tree where he fallen down...... I have no camera no phone at that time to shoot it but that was a happiest moment in my life

Sometimes people dislike by accident, you have no idea how many videos I like, and rewatch have a dislike on them. I'm always like wtf? When did I dislike it? I must've done it by accident with my palm while trying to click something else and didn't realize.
@ashsherman6 жыл бұрын
Just trolling. That's modern day internet whete absolutely everything has a comments section. SO I GUESS JUST IGNORE THE TROLLS, I JUSY WONDER WHAT MOTIVATES SIEVE TO THINK THAT'S SO FUNNY.... (I suppose some could be accidental but i personally think you'd have to be fairly dense to click thumbs down or dislike without meaning. (You can remove it, right? I mean I it was by accident and you notice...)

Some humans don't like to be helped. Some have mental disorders, or physical ones. It would be impossible to show every human you meet with compassion and have them reciprocate it. The world is too broken for such a reality to exist.

I think there's a lot of people that help others. It's that we only talk about things like they were airplane crashes. There's always a report when a plane crashes but they don't talk about the thousands of planes everyday that have no problems. We only talk about crime, violence, bad cops, etc. There is so much good we don't focus on.
@klavier2855 жыл бұрын
Tons of people help other people, far more than those that help animals. Always has to be that one person that can't just enjoy a video of someone helping an animal without complaining we aren't doing enough for humans.
@cousineddie48465 жыл бұрын
Maybe start with actually making abortion rare and if it must be done, then do it as early as possible in the pregnancy perhaps no more than a couple weeks in. I love animals but I love and value the unborn human as well, even more so.
