Facts! And why she remind me of Gwyneth Paltrow so much though?😮 But My conclusion Is that It’s So PROFOUND that the Soul/Spirit energies of two entire different species with 0% understanding of Each other’s language and physiology (unlike our closest belovit animals that we understand their language the most: Dog and Monkeys) Can understand the language of each other’s hearts. So Any prejudice human being should feel THE WORST KIND OF SHAME when they see how a beautiful eccentric Hippie-Type Woman can have a loving relationship with a Robin!! Which 99% of the time has 0% Tendencies to connect with a human. And the excuse of can’t understand another fellow human because of their race, religion or creed???🤔

Whilst walking my dog, a few of autumns ago, I saw a little red-breasted robin on the ground by the side of the pathway we were walking along. As I moved closer to the bird, I honestly thought it would have started squeaking or thrashed about or flown away from me, but it stayed in its place - this worried me beyond words, so I put my hand out, and it jumped onto the palm of my hand. As I lifted up my hand to take a better look at the bird, it looked back at me, as if to say "nice to meet ya"... it then flew away. It was such an amazing experience!! Nature is so very beautiful and magical too 😍💕

nemo9xiphos my aunt did. she did the bird shows in Pensacola. her name was Virginia Webb Gardner. she had kept some of the birds that's she has had for over 13 years. she had a room for baby chicks that's she had from her chickens and part of her backyard she had for bird. I miss her so much. she died on July 31 5:30 pm. she did such great work and loves those birds even the ones that she hasn't had since birth. she had many species of bird. and no she wasn't crazy she just loved to help animals. if they we sick she would nurse them. she also had cats and dogs that's she raised from babyhood. I'm going to name my business after her (Virginia Gardner Rescue Center) I believe I was put on this earth to help animals and people like she did. i want to be like her and help people and animals like she did. she was a missionary and would travel to the 3rd world countries and give them food,water,clothing, etc. any thing that needed so ever since I was a 2 (my mom told me this part) I have wanted to be a vet to all animals, rescue them, and help people. so me and my mom decided that for NY high school graduation we are going to help the people in Guatamala and Africa that need it.

You both helped each other find "Moksha " leading you to a path and now are forever in a state of "Mukti", which is a state not conditioned by time or space. Don't let your eyes keep the illusion going. Close them and walk inside yourself, deeper and deeper and there you'll find Feather, as always guiding you through it's Zen like silence but with eyes that speak only to you. Amen!

Reminds me of a time many years ago. Where I lived we had unexpected spring snow storm. Robin were every where and the storm dumped about 2 inches of snow and very windy. Robins were caught off guard, laying every where,so cold they were just laying on the ground. My sisters and I gathered up every one we could find and brought them in out of cold all day long.When mom came home from work she was met with a house full of chirping robins.

A lot of people seem to think Squeaker is actually a thrush, which is technically true. American robins are a variety of thrush, but Squeaker is a robin. When American robins are young, they have speckled chests that make them look a lot like other thrushes and their red feathers do not develop until they are fully mature. Squeaker's back feathers are much darker than other North American thrushes (which usually range from a light to reddish brown) and his calls are absolutely those of a robin. The later videos of Squeaker were taken before he had completely matured and gained his full adult feathers, which is why he looks similar to an adult thrush. Just thought I'd share some info; incredible video and bless this woman for helping him.

Sydney is so right! Most bird species do not develop their bright colors until they are nearly mature and well able to fly. The baby birds are vulnerable to predators so their bland, mottled colored plumage helps camouflage them until they develop their adult feathers and master their flying abilities.

Question... Is Squeaker a male or female? I always heard that the males are more colorful.
@sydstarlyng8204
@sydstarlyng8204 5 жыл бұрын
@@dieterhauer8619 Yes, males tend to be more brightly-colored than females, although the brightness of a robin's feathers may also be affected by things other than sex (such as its diet and age). As a result, you can't always tell a whether a robin is male or female from appearance alone, especially when the bird is a juvenile. Even with their adult plumage, male robins that are only a year old will also be less brightly-colored than older males, so they might appear to be a female even if they are a male. In short, it would be difficult to accurately determine Squeaker's sex based on just the video footage as he (or she) is still relatively young. Sorry I can't answer the question, but I hope that helps a little.

We once rescued a little bird with my sister too. We had to get it out of my cat’s mouth... It wasn’t that injured. We put it in the cage we had our parrots in years ago to protect him. We trief to feed him but he wouldn’t accept food. We asked my old biology teacher what to do because he was good with birds, he said it’s best to set him free because the mom will search for him. So we put him (in the cage) outside in the yard for him to chirp and call his mom, and she came!!! She was around the cage trying to get to her kid. Then she flew away when we appriached, and landed on the tree in the neighbour’s yard to stay close. We put the cats inside, took out the bird and places him in the neighbour’s yard and watched him call his mom again. And she found him! She started leading him away to where they probably lived. He struggled a bit to jump on the fence, but after a few minutes he did it and they left the neighbour’s yard. That’s the last we saw of them. I know this isn’t as incredible as the woman and the bird in the video, we didn’t bond with that little bird at all, but I’m still happy and proud because we managed to save his life, reunite him with his mom and give him a second chance :)

I believe you did more for that bird than the woman in this video. Birds learn how to talk to other birds and how to keep an eye out for predators from their parents and fledglings (like the one in the video and the one you had) have parents that watch them once they leave the nest. She likely took it away from its parents instead of waiting to see if they'd return and it imprinted(?) on her meaning it has less of a chance of finding a mate. :/

Florida girlXOXO I love people that ruin every moment because they do not realise that not everyone can keep their pets inside. Not everyone has the same living conditions as you do. “Then they shouldn’t own a cat!” Yeah, if everyone who owns a cat but can’t/ won’t keep it inside would surrender their cats and not take in any more, then the shelters would fill up even more than they are now (and they are filled up to the pojt where a lot of them don’t even accept cats anymore), thousands of cats would be put down and thousands of cats would become strays eating millions of birds. There you go huge animal friend, did you think of that? Things don’t happen in real life like you imagine it in your head. People who can keep their animals inside already do keep them inside. So please just keep your stupid mouth shut if you have nothing to add to the conversation ❤️

@@vikkisims6364 I have a neighbor who let her cat outside whenever she wants. The cat ended up getting pregnant and having four kittens that took up four more homes instead of cats in shelters that really needed them. Letting cats outdoors without anyway to keep their population in check can be as devastating to the ecosystem as it is to cats in shelters. If letting a cat outside is the only option available, the cat NEEDS to be spayed or neutered.

I had the great pleasure of doing the same with a Robin in 2004. We had our own calls, sane with the digging of worms, landing on head, flights, to waking up in the morning with him at the back slidding door for his feeding. Then he flew further and stayed out. One morning he wasnt there so I made our call. Then here he comes from the southeast area...from somewhere! I dont know how well he can hear a certain whistle, but he came flying to me, swooped and landed on the clothesline post. But one day as I went grocery shopping, a neighboring cat got a hold of him. No vet would help from the start or even after the attack as it is illegal what I was doing. I tied to keep him comfortable and kept him in the house near as I slept on the floor. He died that night.

I had a robin nest in my backyard in a rose bush a couple of months ago. We started seeing a robin come back and forth with sticks and twigs to keep building the nest. One day I saw her sitting in the nest for quite a while and when the robin flew off, I went to take a look in the nest and I saw two little blue eggs. I was so friggin excited!! After about two more days, the last two eggs came into the nest with a total of four tiny blue eggs. They looked like those little eggshaped gumballs that you can buy during Easter! So then after two weeks, we went outside and saw a little hatchling!!!!!!! We were so hyped but knew that we should t be so crazy cuz that would disturb the mom. The hatchling looked like a little pink peach but in the shape of a birdie. After all of the eggs hatched we kept an update on them everyday with videos and pictures. Funny thing was that to get a good picture or video you would have to slowly and quietly open the glass sliding door so that you don’t disturb them, and then look round to make sure that the mom and dad birds aren’t looking. Then u take a peek into the nest and get so sucked up into taking pictures cuz they’re so cut that u don’t realize that daddy bird has come back and landed in another tree close to us. And then he dive-bombs at me( he swoops down over my head and scared me) . And that’s what they have been doing everyday. Once they’ve grown all of their feathers and we’re about to leave the nest, I saw one of them hanging from a thorn in the rosebush. I was so sad that one of them was trying to leave but got caught in the thorns. So I washed my hands, went outside and helped the little birdie. I was expecting myself to just help the bird and go back inside but he was SO FRIGGIN SOFT that I held him for another two minutes. Finally I was about to put him back in the nest with his siblings when they all flew out in horror! Now I had four not-ready-to-leave-the-nest birdies in my backyard! I had to act quick or else the parents are going to dive-bomb me again. So I ran around the yard picking up the birds and looked to make sure the parents didn’t arrive yet. Luckily the little ones couldn’t fly yet so all I had to do was catch a bunch of hopping fluff balls. Once I had all four birds in one hand, I was relieved. Last step was to put them back. As I turned around towards the nest to put them back, I see a red chest in a tree. Oh no. Dads back. I run to the nest and put them all into the nest but this time non of them jumped out in fear. I run toward the glass sliding door when daddy bird hits me in the head with a rock or something. It didn’t hurt. Back inside, staring through the glass door at the little birds with their dad and mom. What a day. The end.

rocknroller1986 yes I agree with you. While this was nice of her to do this this she should have just let it go on it’s own. Even though it would have died, that is the way the food chain works. The other side of the story could be the crows died because this woman stole their food.

@@josephw2396 I kind've agree and I kind've don't. She let him decide for himself in the end and he did go off on his own.

My two budgies couldn't survive in the UK cold, plus they're happy, most of the time. So I kinda disagree, depending on birds and weather.
