This woman's wonderful dual tiny house home and studio setup creates quality of life and freedom in both the home and the workspace. Thanks Sharesies for sponsoring this video! Download the Sharesies app and use promo code PINEAPPLE for a $10 kickstart. T&Cs apply.
In this weeks episode we meet Trees, an inspiring artist who has constructed two beautiful tiny houses to form both her home and art studio. Between the two, she has created an ideal set-up, with one home being a sanctuary where she can relax and sleep and the other, a place for work and creativity.
The two tiny houses are joined by a covered deck which provides additional outdoor living space and combined, they form a dream home for this artist! We hope you enjoy the video tour of these beautifully constructed tiny homes.

What a beautiful lady! She didn’t get swayed by the builder and got exactly the home she wanted. I do love the stairs at the end and the separate crafting pod, it can be left messy and head back to the serenity of the other pod. And… I really love that her family in Holland now get to see her beautiful home… hello family in Holland👋

Trees put a lot of thought into designing her home. One advantage of being older is that we have live long enough to know what we have to have around us for us to feel happy and comfortable. Yes, that bay window is amazing as are the leaded glass doors. She is such an energetic fun-loving person that it makes a person want to have her as their next-door neighbor!

I love this! I am about to do the same thing with the kids grown and gone, the husband passed and the grandkids are mostly grown and I am sitting in a large house with a ton of space. I have loved the tiny houses for awhile- a long while, so moved into one room to see if it would be a problem and it is not. As a painter, silversmith, beaded with table size looms and an herbalist, I could not figure out how to live tiny and continue doing what I love. This set up is fantastic. I don’t do all those things at once so the looms can hang up on the wall unless I am working on something. The deck is the icing on the cake. Now, to find some land and a builder. Thanks for featuring this tiny house and lovely lady. She is awesome and she made my day!!!

I have an idea that's not Bryce's fault that other interviewees (is that a word?) don't seem to know how to carry on a conversation. They speak the way they text with stunted sentences. Bryce loves conversations obviously and this woman is from a different generation, where speaking to people was natural and important. I think this is something to really meditate on and realize we are losing something very human and important, the ability to converse, one on one. Lots here have mentioned wanting to be her neighbor, ai would love to be her friend! Bless y'all-everyone have a wonderful day.

I loved how her own art is scattered throughout her home from the copper birds, to the stairs and other cabinets. I wish you'd shown more of Trees actual art studio. Absolutely love this arrangement of tiny homes/studio. Gives you extra space for when or if you need it. And the partially covered outside seating area is a perfect added feature.

This is one of the best tiny house spaces I've ever seen (as an artist with the need for extra workshop space). I Also thought it was very sweet how strong her New Zealand her accent is considering she is Dutch. I'm quite fascinated with the mixture of accents: how some peoples change more than others, it's quite magical. Also, I love her jewellery!!

What a wonderful way to live. I often thought that I would love to live in a tiny house, but didn’t think I could give up my painting/craft room. With her setup, problem solved. I love her personality, so cheerful and positive and she is very talented! Thanks for this video and sharing your time and talent. It’s always good to see your smiling face and Risa’s talent behind the camera. Take care, stay safe.

I love this one so much. So well designed, whimsical, and such a nice use of space. Her home is like a glimpse into a fantasy world. Her jewelry is pretty cool too. This lady rocks.

Perfect description, Bryce - it's a magical house! I love her, I love her house, I love her art - and I would move in there in a heartbeat! Books! Weathered cabinets! Stained glass windows! Handmade paper on the walls! All that's missing is a dog.

What is striking is not the merging of two small tiny houses in an attractive way, but the woman who inhabits this place, she is full of vitality, hope and love of life....

I love the home and separated work space, it's definitely something I want to do for myself when I make my own tiny home One thing I do want to make a note of tho for rainwater collecting: As of this year, rainwater everywhere on earth is now unsafe to drink due to PFAS chemicals in the atmosphere. They are artificial chemicals that don't break down and can be linked to fertility problems, increased risk of cancer and developmental delays in children. it's really important to get proper water filters that specifically filter the PFAS out of your collected rainwater going forward since rainwater collection is a big part for many folks who go off-grid.

Thanks for letting us see a piece of your life Trees. 💖 Love your outdoor space particularly, your leadlight doors, your lovely wooden cabinets, your art and your imagination. Quirky's good!!!! Yes lets hope the Tiny House, cohabitation movement takes off in this greedy world of debt consumed people. Less is more, people would be so much happier if they all downsized to what is managable and affordable. This lifestyle would then let people live better more fulfilling lives, reduce domestic violence, assaults, vandalism, reduce isolation and loneliness. We need to bring our world together again in harmony. This is Trees 'safe space' we all need that. Thanks for the inspiration Trees. Thanks Bryce. 🙏

I would also like to find a co-housing community for seniors, plus the big bonus of meeting artsy folks. Some of my old folk art friends have tried this in apartment complexes or small neighborhoods, but inevitably, an adult child will move back home to live for free and mess up the Senior Balance. It would be so much easier to have an artsy group in a tiny house community. That way, it's "all right" to have a studio house {often frowned upon by even the tiny house folks}, and adult brats would be forbidden from taken over Mom's sacred place. That place gave me hope, such great spirit.

@End: Definitely, Bryce.. Trees has created something that she always wanted.. Keeping the workspace in another tiny home is a brilliant idea.. Just by looking at the spot she chose to park the TH's {Tiny House}, is simply perfect.. After a long time, I really enjoyed your episode.. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful journey... Loads of love to you and Trees, from India!!
