Lol I don’t understand why people have an issue with couponers. They seemed kind & friendly, they always over exaggerate on this show any way, but generally speaking they were polite & patient which as an ex checkout worker goes a long way. Having said that, we’re no longer fortunate to have the use of many coupons now in supermarkets, ive always had an itch to want to do this on an extreme level just to experience it! I think companies charge extortionate money for groceries in the US, nice to see people thinking ahead & getting something back ‘for free’ - many donate too which is nice :)
@Vicki19303 жыл бұрын
The cost of all of these types of goods, ie. toilet paper, soap, shampoo, cleaners, etc. that these chains charge covers the cost of the coupons they publish that people spend hours cutting and saving and then using. There is no real savings. It’s advertising, and feeds people’s obsession with shopping, like this woman said. It’s a scam and these people are addicted and hoarding. I am not sure why these “couponers” haven’t figured this out yet.

Because first, things you actually want/need are not going to be the coupons you're finding. You're going to be getting mostly processed food and in brands and/or flavors you didn't even want. We don't have coupons as such in my country so the fact that you can get free food or reduced food amazes me. I think I've done well if I get things that I regularly buy on special. I get a few of the same item so that it works out that buy enough to see me through to when it is on special again (you get to know how often an item is on special each year). I say good on you to this family, your commitment is commendable.

I’m in the US - I use coupons but am lucky to save more than $2 or $3 on each trip (but I’ll take it - a savings is a savings). To get to THIS level of couponing takes HOURS of work. And notice how most of the stuff they buy is processed - all sugar. That’s why they are all FAT. Some of the stuff they buy will expire before they are able to eat it. In the end it’s just gross and wasteful.
@amyrivers40933 жыл бұрын
@@kkoup35 I can imagine that to coupon to this extent would be like a full time job. I do think that something is only a bargain if you need it. I also think that as long as no one else gets hurt then people can choose how they live. I have seen a few couponing videos where people don't leave any stock on the shelf and I feel that is not fair and that large quantities should be pre ordered. I'm not going to comment on what people look like because it's no one else's business.

At the Pet Food Pantries people can get things like dog & cat food, treats, cat litter, often pet bird foods, fish food, and sometimes even small mammal foods, reptile foods and carefresh or wood shaving bedding. The Pet Food Pantries rely on private donations for a large majority of their goods.

First I am a couponer of this level. I am not over weight and neither is my family. I do buy fresh vegetables and fruits, but this is how you get them free or on the cheap. example, ketchup is on sale/clearance for 1.00, I have a 10 2.00 coupons, I will get all 10 bottles of this ketchup because it's giving me 1.00 in overage, which I will use to buy veggies or fruit or even meat, it depends on what other coupons I have to combine with it. Will I keep all 10 bottles, no, I will donate all but 2 to my local food pantry but I got all 10 bottles because it made what I wanted to buy free or cheaper. This actually is worth your time to do. I don't have a crazy stockpile, I only keep what I think I will use until the next cycle of sales, which in the US is about 6 to 8 weeks, you never have to pay full price for groceries again.

@@tamilamperez4259 I’m not talking about ‘you’ - I’m talking about this show in general. Their ‘stockpiles’ are huge closets filled with racks upon racks of shit. It would be great if people did like you do - donate ‘extras’ (like you could make a fun game of it) [ plus get tax write-offs ]. But these folks are more like hoarders.
