The “online” coupons were usually fake, unless they came directly from the manufacturer’s website, when you had people coming with just a couple they would bitch and moan knowing they were trying to scam the store until the manager would give in, people using this amount of coupons the employees would probably just bypass them themselves costing the store a decent loss. You can easily tell who is using sketchy coupons if they’re getting money back from the store in the end, no coupons anywhere work that way.

@@Em09221 that's not true actually, a lot of coupons work that way, fir example. so she said they saved 10K$ a year considering that she does not work, how much time a day she spends on searching organizing and booking the coupons and then organizing all the data about the coupons in spread sheets? I think that with average salary if she spent that time working she would be earning more money than she saved.

When I worked at Walmart to pay for college, it was just after the 2008 recession, we had so much. Coupon fraud nation wide we had to start having a manager key code after X number of coupons. I think it was 5, but it was so long ago. Pretty much if you saw a stack of coupons, you just called a manager before scanning any. Sometimes ladies would push and you’d scan to shut them up while waiting, but then it would up and you’d have to politely say “I told you so” as “As I said, anything over five locks my register until a manager can enter a key code. You’ll just have to wait on the manger I called.”
