From my understanding, the people are controlling their own spindle, by using the wings, so if you change the angle on one side while counteract the angle with the other one and you start spinning. I don't thinking it's a malfunction, more a Humans decision.

@@brucedoyle4055no, it’s not like that, it’s just that this ride has everyone in a still, locked position, but you can change that by shifting ur body weight, you can see this girl in many different clips taken at seperate times, where in the beginning she shifts her body weight to one side of the ride, making it turn, then she moves to the other side of the seat while her pod is in an angle already and that makes the whole spinning thing start and it only increases as the ride goes

​@@MaryJane-jt1ds Yes, it's a ride made to be able to spin or barrel roll as it's called. I've gone on exactly the same type of ride in other amusement parks and there's always people rolling. You have to work to get it rolling, it can't happen accidentally and you need to hold the wing position as she is doing.
