Exactly. I found out that my ex husband’s gf was a drug Addict and I told my son not to ever get in a car with him and to throw a fit ab it if he were ever in a situation that she was going to drive him anywhere. Sometimes that’s all we have. I wonder what dr Phil would say to that. Bring it on, Phil

I think it has to do with intentions. It's obvious the father is on drugs even more during the show he seemed high. I think the moon admitted her failed and said she's trying to get help. She's definitely has issues to work out but when a child is involved and your trying to gather information on a parent it can damage that child. Especially if it's superficial information like how my father tried to use me. My money never spoke bad of my father after a nasty divorce. She would make us go see him even if we didn't want to. Now my father would bad mouth my mom and ask my little sister questions and then twist what she said to make it what got his agenda. Thank God we got our s*** together (my mom my sister and my self) so that wouldn't happened after so many times. We all have a normal disfunctional relationship 😂 now but that situation messed me up when I was little it mad my sister who my father was asking a liar and manipulative and it made me weary of people and the truth and I didn't trust people for very long time. Involving kids if you don't have any proof of danger and specially if you just want to be Petty is damaging for the child.

You would have to be careful of coaching. How would an 8yo differenciate between a drink and an alcoholic drink? or paracetamol and oxycontin? I wouldn't question the child, I would observe his behaviour and listen to what he says to me for anything troubling. Then you could ask something based on what they have already said, however you have to be extremely careful that you're not leading. A lot of schools offer play-therapy with a professional who can find out if/what is troubling a child in an appropriate way
