He knows his show is strictly for entertainment purposes, we know it's for entertainment purposes, let's just hope the guests get some compensation because they certainly aren't getting help with their issues. LOL.

I think that's a nice compensation for immortalizing their dirty laundry on national tv! better than nothing. and certainly better than carrying on as they are. what a bunch of wrecks!

you do know dr.oz works for free at huge healthcare coloseums helping thousands on thousands to help them.i call these people the inbetweeners ,because I was 1 for awhile..they cant afford insurance nor can they get the help for chronic illness so they like me cant get disability.4 slipped disck,3 hurniated disk and a torn acl.my dahad to sell one o his farms275 grand for 4 back surgerys..i feel better but I'm powerful drugs.i didn't even know these places were here until my mom and were watching keith ,and ed on msnbc.you might not like him because the show is aimed at middle age to older people.dr.phil lost ll my interest when these 2 boys looked out while inside the house these girls almost killed this girl.eveyone posted bail except one of the boys but it got posted by phil if he could get an exclusive.i watch shows like Jeremy kyle because its funny nd I like it when a family gets reunited.my sis is married to a girl from theuk and iam leaving the sttes because I can pay taxes and get single payer.big pharma hates dr.oz because on show its aimd at senior citizens and is endorsed by aarp.for those who don't know aarp said trump healthcare plan wasn't going to work.i love it when my sis says she hates trump.

I don't like a lot of tv doctors but for some reason i like doctor phil. He only talks with people on the show and does try to make it entertaining for viewers but he also sets guests up with the real help they need after.

Dr. Phil told a woman that was being abused by her husband that she was the reason he was doing it. I forget which episode but, when I first heard this, I could never watch the show again. He supports men who abuse their wives. He listened to the man and told the woman to shut up, basically. Told the woman to shut up because this is why he is abusing you, basically. His wife sat there and said nothing.

I ask critics what they have done to make the world a better place ... I do not know how to thank Dr Phil for helping me... just watching episodes during a dark chapter in my life literally saved it. Yes I had had therapy but Dr Phil's advice of taking responsibility and picking up your cross and many other gems were more helpful than just being listened to and "dumped" when a session was over. My life has changed 'way' for the better thanks to him. To critics I say "do something productive and contribute not destroy"

He is a clinic psychologist and to the guy that wrote: Dr. Phil received a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas--which does not have a very good reputation in this area. His license was suspended for inappropriate conduct with a minor, so he is not currently licensed at all. His dissertation was actually on rheumatoid arthritis, which has nothing to do with psychology. Ok so this is what the definition of clinical psychology is: Clinical psychology is the psychological specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive mental and behavioral health care for individuals and families; consultation to agencies and communities; training, education and supervision; and research-based practice. It is a specialty in breadth - one that is broadly inclusive of severe psychopathology - and marked by comprehensiveness and integration of knowledge and skill from a broad array of disciplines within and outside of psychology proper. To "entertain" people... right. Well, normally I would say that every single person who has appeared on his show in the past few years knew the trouble they were getting into. They "had it coming". But to be honest, that's a lot of crap. He's an ass. He manipulates every interview he does in order to expose people in a negative (but selling) way. He mocks everyone. Juzges everyone. He feels "superior" than the rest. It's all about the fame and the money. And you know what, thas's okay. As long as you don't hurt anyone or misinform your viewers just for the ratings. He really does more harm than good. Take Nicholas Brendon's interview for example. The one he leaves the set. He was a guy with some very deep and real issues, and this man pushed him to his limits on purpose. The way he sells that interview, making him look like a crazy person, it's disgusting. And man, all the lawsuits he tries to hide from the media.. it's amazing that there's actually people interested in his lies. If that's entertainment, well, I'm glad I'm not part of it.
