I was apart of the explorer program that was run by my local police station, and the Sargent told us a story where they found the suspect inside of a kitchen trash can. They just about missed it, but one of the officers tried to move it out of the way on their way out of the residence and the dude fell out. Some people just have some crazy hiding places. I absolutely LOVE these video/body cam break downs! It is quite fascinating and very informative watching the footage picked apart and described from a LEO's perspective. Of course there are always two sides to a coin and these incidents should be viewed from both perspectives in order to gain a healthy understanding of the actions and reactions of both the cops and the civilians before jumping to an impulsive conclusion.

Sadly in my area a guy killed a lady and hid her body under the mattress in a motel. They found in advanced decomp. It's a trashy motel and they ignored the complaints till it was so bad they finally addressed it finding the body and police was called.

Haha, this reminds me of when I played Hide n Seek when I was 4 years old... the older kids would run & hide.... and I would find a corner to stand in - and I would literally cover my eyes with my hands: 🙈. The idea was.... that upon approach, if I couldn’t see or make eye contact with whomever was “IT”, then they couldn’t see me either! 😳 Clearly this method failed me. I actually have an exceptionally high IQ (“now”) - but obviously it hadn’t ‘kicked in’ in this respect when I was 4 years old. 🤭

my mom was absconded from parole, the cops came, my grama let them in. My mom had just been in the kitchen chopping something, she ran upstairs, went into a room, curled up under a pile of blankets that were on the floor. Realized she left the knife laying outside the blankets on the floor so she grabbed it and pulled in under the blankets with her. The cops comes into the room. She felt his foot step on the blankets, and kick her a little bit. Then she realized "oh fuck...if he finds me i have this knife...that's not gonna look good". BUT he didn't find her. Another time, my brother lifted her into the "attic" space. The cops noticed something about that area. So they actually looked up there with a flash light. But my mom had buried herself under insolation!! They didn't find her! As soon as they left she had to take a shower. She itched for days! LOL!!! I have many stories of my moms escapes, and hiding from police!!
