I've used this move before and it works. But Josh is over complicating the instruction of this move. Fujiwara showed it more simply. 1.Turn the head. 2.Keep your hold tight, use your own head to secure the hold. 3.Create distance by moving your hips backward. This gives you room to leverage your body weight unto the neck.

I thought it’s more effective if you left his chin up, make your opponent look up to the sky, than spinning the neck.

So the keys is to turn his head to the side ; then press down with shoulder/chest( with a gable or S grip). Got it. I would never use this in bJJ
