For those that have never run teach competitively, sometimes when an athlete knows they aren’t going to win they decelerate before the line so that it appears they weren’t trying that hard. It protects their ego. If you believe that she ran “easy” to focus on the 100m…you fell for the okey doke.

Right, it isn't Steiners event either. Steiner doesn't have an event where she is the favorite. This was Richardsons slowest round. Her previous 2 round times would have qualified. She needs to get stronger so her legs will hold up for that many rounds. She will be US champion in the 200, it's not as many rounds at that meet. She will be consistently in the 21s when it's only 1 or 2 rounds. She is 9-0 against Steiner in the 100 and 200 dating back to college she has NEVER beaten Richardson and the media says it's a rivalry

To many rounds 3 in the 100 3 in the 200 in a matter or a few days. The final time was her slowest all week. I believe she will run 21s a little more consistently. Steiner may want to look for another event she will never make the olympics in 100 or 200m. This was pretty much the only shot she had at making it. She will be dam near 29 by time next olympics comes around and her best days are already behind her, that's why most sprinters cut their college career to 1 or 2 years

The 100 is THE premier race in the Olympics. It will be a showdown in Paris. I’ll say this though. It’s incredibly tough to win both 100 and 200…especially in the Olympics. This is why to me ETH is the best woman’s sprinter that has come out of Jamaica. She accomplished that Double Double TWICE IN A ROW IN THE OLYMPICS. Now I know you guys love SAFP more, but ETH is the GOAT
@RichardWillis-fn4hgКүн бұрын
@@kpperry784I'm sorry but Shelly is the undisputed GOAT,Shelly has done things that no one as ever done eg holding both the Olympic and world championship twice,medalling in four consecutive Olympics in the 100m and many more things ,plus Shelly have 8 championship titles, Elaine has four,so that settles the argument

It's not biased it's an Ethnocentric Mentality which is rooted in an inferiority complex. Gabby Thomas was born in Atlanta Georgia to an American Mother and an Americanized Jamaican Father. They seem to think that just because Dad has Jamaican roots Gabby's win is Jamaican lol My parents were born in Texas but I was born and raised in California that makes me a Californian not Texan.
