Remembering the days when under the brown text series the laws of the colony of singapore 1955 under penal code then chapter 99 then criminal procedures vodb chapter 139 things were different tailored or officers are to passed and pass their exams too 40:31 it is then called the prison ordinance 😊 😊 😊 😊

The prison in Singapore does not have any bed, seems even more harsh when comparing to similar region's prison like Hong Kong (HKCS offers simple bed to inmates). Anyway, I hope anyone who lived in here will have a second chance never get back again.

thats cuz the male inmates are in for maximum security. it was also mentioned in this vid that this specific grp of female inmates are in for non violent crimes like drug abuse and fraudulence. thus allowing them to share a cell with 3 other inmates as compared to 1 cell per inmate.

The June 4th Incident, also known as the 1989 Democracy Movement, the 1989 Student Movement, the Tiananmen Incident or the June 4th Incident, is what Chinese officials call the political turmoil at the turn of the spring and summer of 1989. Broadly speaking, it refers to the activities to commemorate Hu Yaobang that began in mid-April 1989. As the trigger, a nationwide protest movement was launched by mainland Chinese university students in Tiananmen Square in Beijing and lasted for nearly two months.

This documentary is meant to be in Chinese which is one of the 4 main languages used in Singapore. The official narration is in Chinese but a mix of Chinese and English is used by the inmates in a colloquial style called Singlish that most of us use here in daily conversation. It is not uncommon for Malay, Hokkien and Cantonese to be in the mix in our daily conversation which is unique to Singlish. The subtitles in English and Chinese is to facilitate understanding for those who understands only one of the two language. For most of the locals, we are at least bilingual or multilingual.
