Best album of this decade so far there I said it. Some of the only truly real shit I've heard that wanted to push guitar music forward in terms of songwriting, performance and emotion. Incredible band.

They broke up because one of the member passed away. And even before the two brothers in the band were getting into a lot of arguments and even fought once on stage and had to cancel a tour that had like 20 shows left... sucks, one of my favorite bands of all time.

i first heard this song in the winter of two years ago. I remember sitting in a playground with a friend, freezing to death. I felt so happy I could cry, in a time where I felt nothing but bored for years, this song summed up that feeling. thanks

Lyrics to the song a really strange and don't really make a whole lot of sense but I don't think it's supposed to I think it's just a focus completely on the music and the lyrics are just second to the music it's a really good song I think it's just one of my favorite songs if I'm thinking about a song that has great musicality and just a lot of feeling in it the outro this song is just completely 100%

I think you're generalizing way too much, though I understand the desire to categorize and compartmentalize music- all too common.There is a 60's garage nostalgia, but the atonalities and creativity are not part of The Strokes arsenal. Women had a much more unique sound.

I'm a massive fan of both bands. I can see where you're coming from but Women lack the pop sensibilities of early Strokes music and I love them for it. You have no idea what to expect from one Women's song to the next.
