rest in peace. I've listened to this song thousands of times, so sad that we'll never get anything like it again.

Eugene Kuznetzov I could almost agree but Sonic Youth would never write something quite like the outro. And Kim is a little less present on bass than this.

@@ultrahero2115 but the outro is the most Sonic Youth part???? i'm thinking cross the breeze especially
@ultrahero21154 жыл бұрын
Steve Meyer I disagree, the noisy and drone-y verses feel the most Sonic Youth to me. What part of Cross the Breeze sounds all jangly and stark like that? I think Lee and Thurston’s parts blend in a pretty different way and dance around one another less.

Tout les autres peuves seulement penser a Sonic Youth. merci bien and apologies for my shit french.
@DavidHeymann18367 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this nice reaction to my comment. I agree, too often people have a superficial and caricatured apprehension of the sounds they hear, My approximate English is only that of the translator but as I am sensitive to your effort to write to me in French I could not do less.

Je perde mon francais que j'ai apris quand j'etais jeune :( Je faut essayer plus frequament! Check out Red Crayola's live en Paris 1979 esp the track 'X' -- you tube seems to have removed it!!! AUGH! Damnit

why is this being posted now? this band released this in 2010. And they're broken up right? I'm pulling my hair out that I finally come across such a perfect sound and they're over.

@Clément Fievet, the whole song is one big Sonic Youth tribute straight from Confusion is Sex. It's no less wonderful as a result. The Pitchfork intro and visuals, however, are embarrassing.
@sizone7 жыл бұрын
yall are forgetting the Swell Maps influence on the vocals (more apparent in the album version with the broken duet singing). The album version is more angular, can hear the dissonance against the harmonies better.

Love how out of tune the guitars are by the time they reach the outro, and then they play straight through the supposed-to-be melodic part like it’s nothing. Like walking through an aftermath regretting everything that’s happened.
