I'm 60. When I tell people at work that I play they are surprised. I say, "Why"? I was around before video games existed. We were stuck with pinball, then came pong. I had a friend that was a programmer. He had a laptop and a desktop. That was unheard of back then. We played Wolfenstein and Doom. People today don't understand how groundbreaking Doom was. The game play was completely new and the music was unlike anything in any previous game. I will admit that I don't like the new omni-movement or flip sniping, but to each their own.

Someone having a problem with you enjoying yourself is a form of abuse. That’s one of my biggest issues with this country. People are taught that it makes you a good person for example to believe that sexual pleasure and enjoyment are bad and to admonish people for it, but for me that is utterly illogical and a form of abuse. To be honest, one of the reasons guys like to game as well is because the cost is up front. It's not one of those hobbies where it just keeps taking money. Once you put up the money for a good pc, that'll be good for a long time. If the ladies can experiment a little set up a pc for themselves as well, it's the perfect hobby for when times get financially tight, or when ya'll just don't feel like going out but ya wanna do something. I think there's a game out there that any couple can get into together.

That's a damn nice setup you have for you and your man. Word of advice though, I'd say stick to PC in the future. Pretty much every Playstation exclusive is coming to PC at this point and PC has tons of other upsides like not needing to pay an annual fee to use your own internet, Steam sales/keys/bundles (way better prices on games), modding, better performance, future upgrades (on Ryzen CPU motherboards mainly) etc.

Many women don’t seem to grasp the idea of compromise in a relationship, even though we men often compromise when it comes to their makeup and other interests. Elon musk is a gamer and by her logic he is a loser. When he has achieved a lot in his lifetime! Like make it make sense! This is why I believe most women (but not all women because they’re female gamers out there) do not understand men and don’t want to! That’s one of the reasons why a lot of relationships do not last long! 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

This young lady gets us. I'm not a gamer, but I like sports. My wife likes watching DIYs, Camping videos, etc. and we respect each other's space, but still knows how to come together to make time for each other. With her mindset, I really pray that all continues to go well in her marriage. I'm sure though, her man appreciates her and she appreciates him. 😊

Thankfully for me, my girl never gives me any shit when I play my video games and is very understanding to the fact that it's how I unwind and destress after a long day of adulting. She's happy that we spend time together in company engaging with each other in each other's activities.
