I saw this girl on tiktok leaving her bf because he got jumped by 5 people and couldn't defend himself 💀

Yet that shouldn't be a reason to " dump " someone, nor is that fair anyway ... like why are people deciding to jump people anyway, it is childish and sometimes dangerous. I'll tell you now, if I got jumped, I wouldn't be able to defend myself, guess I am a walking ick !! 😂 Now i'm not trying to argue or have a dispute with you in anyway, this is a question everyone should think about : Why should someone have to live in fear, feel as if they're being followed and have to live with that thought of " what if i'm jumped " in the back of their head...

@@MorbidMaximus666 Agreed! But the fact that such a large % of Gen Z is on TikTok makes _me_ feel disconnected from "reality". I've given up trying to ask for explanations when some of my friends reference certain videos or use very specific vocabulary that's predominant in those online spaces. For example, out of nowhere I started to hear words and jokes related to the looksmaxing community. Then I realized it was due to its popularization on TikTok. I remember studying Baudrillard's "hyperreality" concept in my philosophy class and this is exactly what it feels like; a shared reality that feels more real than that based on tangible people and things.

It’s almost like they’re all, like.. Playing a game together as if it’s an inside joke??? They all just go with the same “rules” or whatever when the majority of people.. Don’t do any of that. They’ve created this little fantasy community world together that doesn’t exist outside of tiktok/their social circles. I feel elderly when my friends bring up new “slang” (which, let’s get real, it’s just shortening down phrases until it becomes incomprehensible because I guess people either don’t have the brain capacity to type normal sentences, or they’re just brutally lazy.) I’m always like hUH?????

The 'boyfriend hurt' thing actually happened to me. My GF came home and I was on the bathroom floor. I told her I really needed her to call the hospital. She told me to man up. Gen Z needs to get over their protagonist mentality, cuz y’all don’t know what ‘ick’ even is. I’ve been with my wife for 19 years and at this point there is little we haven’t put each other through. When my wife went into labor with our son, she vomited all over me as I was helping her out of the car at the hospital. I finished getting her inside, wiped off best I could in a bathroom, and stuck around to be my child be born. Once I had a horrific stomach flu and literally shit the bed with both of us in it. She wasn’t even mad, rather she was concerned that I had gotten sick enough that could even happen. Long story short, if you love someone then you learn to deal with the occasional unpleasantness. Or you can just die alone. Whichever 🤷‍♂️

If you have a few loyal friends, keep each other close, have each other's backs. Those are few and far in between as you get older. Find a pet, and enjoy the outdoors. Remember everyone, most of the stuff you see like this is for reactions on social media. I feel for your generation at times because you got an uphill battle. Godspeed to you all. Hayley, good stuff. First time seeing a vid from you and had to sub. The basket one cracked me up. The girl never heard the phrase "work smarter, not harder". So if she’s ableist about that, I’d pay good money to see her reaction upon finding out what OCD ACTUALLY is. 💀💀💀

As a a social worker who has worked with people with OCD, and also had an ex-girlfriend who has OCD, you are absolutely correct. OCD is not simply liking your spaces to be clean and organized. OCD is when you have to hit the volume-up button on your phone 8 times while counting to 8 out loud, and then do that 8 times total, and then hold your hand on the volume-up button while counting to 8, 8 times, in your head. It's when you have to touch every surface you walk by, and if you don't do it just right, you have to walk back and start over, and repeat that process again and again until you do it just right.

@@amazingzie378 you're welcome! I have ADHD and very likely Autism as well, which can lead to some amount of obsessive and compulsive behaviors, though it definitely isn't to the same degree as people with OCD. My point is that while I can't fully sympathize, I can partially sympathize. I think a lot of people don't understand the difference between "clinical" dysfunction and "subclinical" dysfunction. Some people have subclinical obsessive and compulsive tendencies, but they are not as severe as those with clinical OCD, and the subclinical people typically have those symptoms as the result of some other issue, or perhaps they are just a more orderly and anxious person. Think of this way: Subclinical - tends towards certain behaviors at mild severity Clinical - almost always does those behaviors at extreme severity Just out of curiosity: have you noticed if certain things make your OCD worse some days more than others? If you hadn't already guessed, the two examples I gave in my original comment were from my ex-girlfriend, and I noticed that her need to touch surfaces was always worse when she was more anxious or stressed out. So if there were days that she was doing that more than normal, I would sit her down and be like "ok honey how ya feeling today?"
@amazingzie378
@amazingzie378 Ай бұрын
@@badwolf3618 I also have ADHD (and also anxiety, depression, trauma, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I had more lol 😭). I don’t know about certain days, but I definitely go through periods of my meds working and then not working. I’ve also started to notice some of my compulsions I had as a toddler and kid have come back in new, more mature I guess forms. When I was a toddler, I would hoard everything in fear that I’d need it and would die if I didn’t have it. When I was a few years old, I saw my dad throw out socks that had holes in them and took them out of my trash can and hid them in my room. Now, it’s more like I keep cardboard or paper stuff in case I can use them to make a crafting pattern or whatnot; I have trouble deciding to throw that specific kind of stuff out. I also had a few instances of scary intrusive thoughts when I was a toddler, but they didn’t happen again until seventh grade (during the Covid lockdown.) This is already a long comment, but I can explain about my experience with intrusive thoughts more if that’s helpful. I’m not the best at noticing patterns of symptoms because my OCD will be all like “what if this is/isn’t actually what happened; what if you forgot this; what if this is wrong and now you’ll get the wrong treatment because you didn’t give this information,” but hopefully I could be of some help.

I’m so confused by all of this But the laundry one really gets me Literally who is turned OFF when their partner does chores??? I have never heard anyone complain that their husband is too helpful around the house before??? that’s truly such an unhinged opinion I can’t even wrap my head around it
@loverrlee
@loverrlee 3 ай бұрын
I completely agree. I think it must stem from a deep seeded insecurity that if he’s doing chores, he won’t need them for it, and they must feel like it’s one of the only things they offer or bring to the table in the relationship, so it triggers their abandonment issues or something when they aren’t being literally taken advantaged of in their relationship (but lots of people do what they were taught, so if they grew up in a house where their parents had this dynamic, they are more likely to see it as abnormal when their partner does something that their (possibly toxic) parents didn’t do, like contribute to household chores. If they grew up with a mom who did all the housework, and a father that “brought home the bacon” I can see how that would translate into them feeling threatened (aka ick) when a man displays traditionally feminine roles like housekeeping (But I don’t understand this mentality because I am so happy and thankful every single time my partner helps around the house! Even though I grew up with an absentee father and lived with my grandparents who had pretty traditional gender roles, I still understand the value of a partner that helps split the chores).

I'm a Gen Z college student, and I can assure you that most of these are just what you see on social media. You won't see these kinds of people in real day to day life. I have been on social media for a while now. At this point, you gotta not take social media too seriously. It's all algorithm. Are there serious issues? Yes. Are some members of our generation toxic? Yeah. But remember, it's all an algorithm on social media. It is ALL about engagements. Especially on Tik Toks and Instagram Reels. That's is where all the toxic wild shit stuff are residing in. KZbin is more chill. In reality, day to day life, we are pretty cool people. Very likely, you socialize outside of media platforms. You are not going to be seeing these "cringe" media. Though you said you are a "gen z kid" I'm assuming teenage at most. So it's kind of a weird phase. But I can assure you, social media is not a representation of reality. Every day people are pretty chill regardless of whatever generation they are part of.

@Gambit771 yeah there are some very narcissistic and delusional ppl out there of both sexes. And in general men tend to become more attractive with age and experience/skills/provider abilities. This is somewhat a disadvantage for younger guys...but younger guys have things that older guys don't always retain...this happens with women also just a bit different. Women tend to be more "valued"when they are young, where as men tend to gain "value" as they age....not all of course. They have created division between men and women on a scale I have not seen in western culture since medieval times. They would rather us hate each other and not have future generations of our own ancestral lines. Why everyone else but Europeans are recognized as having their own ethnic and culture is ...well disgusting and bigoted.

Don’t bother worrying about stupid stuff like that. What sane person has that kind of miserable and negative mindset that they have to pick people apart and look into the littles tiniest things people do and rate them on a scale of how desirable you are when you are doing everyday activities? Sure there are big things that everyone thinks are turn offs (and rightfully so) but you’re absolutely a bored and miserable person if you start picking apart and ranking how desirable someone is based off how they put on their socks. Don’t feel hurt or offended with what they’re saying, you’d be miserable being in a relationship with people like this because the deeper root to their misery is that they’re selfish egotistical idiots. It’s extremely selfish to basically constantly be thinking that your partner or the people around you have to always be doing things in a way that YOU find is desirable, and if they don’t then you belittle them and think they’re below you. The world does not revolve around you.

One thing i have noticed is that no matter if you are gay, straight, bi. asexual, if you are a guy that makes music they will say you are gay regardless, even the most "masculine" rappers have a slew of gay allegations against them, like they can be convicted or SA against women and still people are saying "he's gay" as if they don't know how homosexuality works lol

Sunscreen, the True source of skin cancer, sunscreen, baby oil, baby powder, lotion, parabens/aluminum, etc. The only thing the sun can do is burn your skin but burns can't cause cancer it'll just age your skin faster, that's it. It's the chemicals that are put on the skin that the body can't rid on it's own that causes cancer, very unnatural highly processed chemicals that the body reacts to, chemicals that sit in the pores and causes the cellular mutation. This is reason people will take detoxification pink salt and/or bentonite clay baths. When I started eating more eggs and beef my skin pretty much stopped burning and could finally tan, and as a redhead that's a big deal.
