No boy in the 80s got insecurities by playing with He-Man, Thundercats and GI-Joe toys. Girls needed therapy later in life by playing with Barbie dolls. Who is the weaker sex?

@josefodium88883 ай бұрын
Pretty much the same story my wife told me. Got her big cups at 12, instantly lost all friends and became an outcast. The only thing you (and her BTW) are wrong about is guys are looking, they just take extra care (sometimes enough to make a professional spy envy those skills) not to get caught staring. And since girls like that are (sometimes totally unknowingly) always in the center of everyone’s attention it takes extra guts for men to approach them. Up to a point of a seemingly complete social isolation. At least before entering adult life where those dynamics tend to change. Unfortunately leaving the underlying problems mostly unresolved.
@brianpembrook91643 ай бұрын
They look (or looked) but try not to be noticed. I don't know how old you presently are but when I was in 6th grade there wasn't much of an internet. The pair of girls sporting a good pair were the only pair for the boys to look at. One "mysteriously disappeared" the next year and the other became a mom. In the last few decades the internet became huge. I feel we have reached the point of oversaturation; they can view a body like yours any day of the week (might even be yours specifically if you post images); why stare openly at you in real life?
@dawnmana58763 ай бұрын
. If they looked, they were crazy good at not being caught. I pretty much only had guy friends since girls treated me like dirt and it was guy friends or complete isolation. I was also a straight A student, so guys asked me for school help a lot. I was just the "buddy" girl though. I had to listen to a crush go on and on about the girl he liked way too many times. I only had one boyfriend before my husband, and he dumped me during prom for my only female "friend".

More attractive women will be more likely to get married. So it is petty jealousy, which is why the “ugly friend” is not a trope but a real thing. Their friends get attention from the other gender and that person specifically wants to disrupt the potential relationship because they can’t seem to find one themselves.
