And regarding Tibetan muslim, I personally feel that they are very precious part of our tibetan community. Their presence gives diverse and secular dimensions to our society... This young lady didn't converted into muslim. perhaps some viewers fail to understand this. her father is tibetan muslim. There is plenty of tib muslim population. There ancestry goes back centuries old when some muslim traders from places like kashmir goes to Tibet for business. later on some settled there and some of them married tib women's. They have huge influence on tib culture. infact tib songs lk nangma are said to be derived from muslim nagma. There used to be famous muslim singers and artist at lhasa during olden times. infact how tib Buddhist and muslim coexist peacefully is lesson for world to see. Kudos. and for this young lady who was born in darjeeling and still speak such a fluent tibetan is inspiration for young genre. I m sikkimese bhutia but we have so many of our bhutia despite born and brought of in sikkim failed to learn there mother tounge. but it's duty of every genre to protect and uphold there culture and traditions. because this is our heritage and our identity. so hats off to sakina bhatt. May your tribe increase.

We should feel lucky to have a good anchor otherwise you can find a good Tibetan speaking Shichak girl for the post of English news anchor. If you are not happy with non Tibetan Citizen then start from Gyari Dolma, Tibetan MP in West, Lhagyari Namgyal Dolma , Kaydor to bottom and not from innocent , powerless news reader.

@@thundril4609 just to let you know that before she joined that,, there was a Tibetan girl working who had been working before n she was no lesser than her if not better but our politically correct n diplomacy ideology fired that Tibetan girl n hired this Kashmiri Muslim in place of her. I can see the same shit thing happening in our Tibetan community still. I used to hear , back in the days before China invaded our country Tibet, our Tibetan authority charged too much taxes on our Tibetan businesses but absolutely no taxes on those who are outside Tibet such as India, Nepal, Kashmir etc. N on top they used to provide the best spot for business for them.
