This must be the best photofinish I've seen in athletics with 3 runners just about crossing the line together. The German girl was behind and almost last after the first 20M but boy did she haul herself back in and powered her way to an incredible finish. She and Neeta really closed in on Kambundji in the last 20M and it wasn't till the last 10M that Gina broke ahead for the win. Magnificent finish!!!

Look at the European swimming championship in Rome! Host Italy with home support destroyed every European nation and distanced Ukraine and Great Britain by over 14 Gold medals in the medal rankings ! They had sensationally 24 Gold medals, 24 silver and 19 bronze medals! GB 10 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze, while Ukraine 10 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze! At least Germany came from. 10 th place into 4 place in the medal rankings and distanced European nations like Hungary, the Netherlands, Sweden, France etc!

She wanted it the most! She sacrificed her body for the win, gave everything to be first, yes blood, sweat, and now tears in the end. This is the magic of sports, not just for the spectators watching, but the athletes who perform beyond their limits, achieve what they thought unachievable, the sacrifices to earn a chance-the timeless and formless space when you transcend to the champions zone and just won’t lose, and everyone around you slows as you find the next gear, it is the glory winning and the honor of competing.

I’m not big on the rules of track and field so I don’t know if a race is won by the first body part that crosses the finish line or if a race is won by the first head that crosses the finish line. If it’s decided by the first body part, you will see at the 2:44 mark on the video that the Swiss girl’s hand crossed the finish line first, followed by the girl from Great Britain’s foot, then the girl from Germany’s head. So if it indeed goes by body part, then the judges screwed this one up. The correct order should be: 1st place - Sweden 2nd place - GBR 3rd place - Germany

@ Mutters - My mistake. She’s not from Sweden, she’s from Switzerland. But changing the subject to who’s in the race or not doesn’t change the fact that the video shows that she came in 3rd place. The judges screwed this one up.
