She wanted it the most! She sacrificed her body for the win, gave everything to be first, yes blood, sweat, and now tears in the end. This is the magic of sports, not just for the spectators watching, but the athletes who perform beyond their limits, achieve what they thought unachievable, the sacrifices to earn a chance-the timeless and formless space when you transcend to the champions zone and just won’t lose, and everyone around you slows as you find the next gear, it is the glory winning and the honor of competing.

I’m not big on the rules of track and field so I don’t know if a race is won by the first body part that crosses the finish line or if a race is won by the first head that crosses the finish line. If it’s decided by the first body part, you will see at the 2:44 mark on the video that the Swiss girl’s hand crossed the finish line first, followed by the girl from Great Britain’s foot, then the girl from Germany’s head. So if it indeed goes by body part, then the judges screwed this one up. The correct order should be: 1st place - Sweden 2nd place - GBR 3rd place - Germany
