First time I ever saw Dafne Schippers I was amazed by her running. The determination is strong but has such a smooth stride she doesn't look like she's trying. Great race though!! ..and can't forget she is BEAUTIFUL!!! :)

Florence Griffith-Joyner holds that title, and will likely never lose it, but Schippers is the 2nd best 200m sprinter of all-time at this point imo. Uibo is definitely one of the best ever in the 400m though.

It wasn't closing speed, it was the ability to not slow down as much due to fatigue. Near the end of the 200 meter race, every single runner has slowed down and the winner is the one who slows down the least.

Now Miller Uibo is virtually untouchable in both the 200 and 400 with only the exception of Naser who should replicate more races similar to WC hard from the start.

But people do tend to talk about the recent and what's going to happen instead of saying " what if that legend of ten years ago was here?". Naser and Uibo are the future of 400 and Uibo with a bit more focus can give a crazy 200 m time as well.

Wow. Track n field sprints lures you in, as a fan, like no other sports event. You know? You tentatively want Schippers to win, and the gun goes off, and there are these women who run the 200 meters differently. Some start off well. Some finish well. Schippers had to start fast, hit a lull half way, get passed a bit, and then finish strong to win at the last seconds. This is PURE excitement. I don't think I've been watching enough track n field over the years. Anyway. I go to Amsterdam, twice a year, minus pandemic times. Maybe she'll be buying a space cake at Rookies, when I'm there.
