Don't know either party, have had zero interactions with either, so lets just list facts that can be easily verified. He invested huge amounts of time, money & energy in this project. He reasearched the issue, secured the rights to the original work that inspired the project & turned down other more lucrative, less time consuming projects to see this film through. He personally worked on adaptation, script, casting, directing, producing & even starred in the film making every possible effort to get it right & portray the events as accurately as possible. He took disrespect & challenges to his authority as director/writer/producer (on set in public), & endured delays in production in stride because giving this difficult issue an international forum, shining a light on a dark truth in our society & being a catalyst for change in our world was far more important than his ego. He was professional & courteous with people who wouldn't reciprocate even civility in kind. She tried to sabotage the film by marketing it as a "feel good" "rom com" "girly besties fun" film which was highly disrepectful to the original writer's work/personal experience & all the women who endured DV & abuse while she lives a fairie tale romance in her real life. She was sarcastic, condescending, dismissive & rude/ insulting with every interviewer who had the distinct displeasure of allowing her to promote this film which made her a ton of money, put her back in the public eye as a leading lady & made her relevant again. Next she & her famous hubby try to use their celebrity/wealth/influence to bribe/bully Mr Baldoni into leaving his own project, to her, so she could make a franchise & wring as much money & spotlight as she could from the misfortune of others when she so obviously couldn't care less about the project or its subject matter. Now that all else has failed she is mocking the project & DV/SH by claiming she felt harrassed during filming, hoping woke Hollywood will just cancel the man on her say so without a shred of evidence. I am appalled that an actress i once supported & whose projects i recommended to friends is behaving in such a horrible, manipulative, vengeful narcicistic fashion.
