Definitely picking this one up! I was a huge fan of Simon in the West Coast Avengers and the Wonder Man vol. 2 series from 1991. Can’t wait for that one to be collected too! Until then make mine Marvel!

For the people waiting for the 90’s run, I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for it…although the writer has served his time for what he’s done, I don’t know if Marvel will be in a rush to help him out financially.

How good is Marvel in paying royalties on omnis in the first place?🤔. Sure the big guns, e.g., David, Hickman, get theirs but wonder about everyone overall.

@@paulmcgrew2932 I mean presumably it's based on number of sales, not who the writer is. Possible that different writers negotiated things like this into their contracts but I don't think that was a thing 30+ years ago. Would be curious to hear from anyone who has law experience with royalties on this.

@@paulmcgrew2932 There are a lot of David omnis out there between Hulk and X-Factor alone so I'm sure his stuff sells well but when he got sick he still had to make a crowd funding campaign to pay for the medical bills so I'm not overly confident in Marvel's ability to pay writers what they are owed/worth.

Seems like Marvel is now rebranding their Silver Age omnis “Early Years”. I think that’s helpful in showing what they contain. It’s better than just Wonder Man Omnibus for example.

I first heard of Wonderman in Marvel Saga which it even says that Wonderman comes back and also had the cover of Avengers # 9 in their classic cover gallery. I later saw him in Avengers west coast after they came back from their time travel adventure.

I've liked Wonder Man since John Byrne's West Coast Avengers but then Kurt Busiek really made me fall in love with the character during his Avengers run. Such a shame this omni is only being released now because Disney plans to destroy him for "modern audiences" in yet another upcoming failure of a Disney+ trainwreck show. In a perfect world, he'd be played by Henry Cavill in an Avengers movie alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Kelsey Grammar's Beast but unfortunately, we can't have nice things anymore.

They removed the 2-part Civil War mini-series by Nancy Collins (but she does not care because she did not see any royalties from Dark Horse for the collecting of her story or a complementary copy of the TPB) and a short story involving Nazis.@@NearMintCondition
