WONDER WOMAN 1984 / BARBIE DOLL REPAINT BY POPPEN ATELIER

The new Wonder Woman 1984 movie is coming out the next week, so I thought we could make a Wonder Woman doll to celebrate the legendary superhero character! I will give a complete makeover to my Barbie doll and I will turn her into a modern Wonder Woman.

I think her point was just that this doll is supposed to be a representation of a specific person, and that specific person is supposed to have strong, toned arms. How did I bodyshame? Have you seen the film? Wonder woman‘s arms are not as thin as from that doll. Yeah, I said thin, that’s a normal word. I didn’t say spindly or something like that, because I didn’t mean that. I simply think, compared to Wonder Woman in the movie, her arms are thin. Don‘t try to read things that are not there. A little background here. I‘m 1,86m tall, and have a very broad built. Not fat or chubby, but broad. I never had women in popculture that would be like me, so I grew up with the feeling of being not a real woman. So I would have loved to have a strong tall woman in a popular movie to look up to. All women were like elves, when I was young.
