Hey, man. Greetings to you from Russia. A big fan of yours, always rooting for you. I was just surprised to find out that I'm bandaging my hands the same way you are)) I've been doing this ever since I started training Muay Thai and spied my own way of bandaging on a videotape of Benny Urquidez's lessons, it was in the late ' 90s. As I realized later, this method is significantly different from how it is accepted here in Russia. Neither better nor worse, just different. My method of bandaging was different from that of all the guys I trained with. And since then, it's the first time I've seen someone who bandages their hands like this!!)) Man, you just brought me back to my youth just for a minute, and I want to say thank you)) I wish you all the best, and I hope you win the championship belt. P.S. Sorry if I made a mistake, my English is not very good))

@majkll2849 As far as how it happened, just had too much of a wild night too many drinks. Fell down in an awkward way and all my weight landed on my ankle. Heard something pop, next thing I know excruciating pain but I'm also fucked up wasted so it's somewhat bearable lol.

@majkll2849 My recovery was a long 5 months, I was absolutely losing my mind in my room lmao. That wasn't including still having to take it easy on my movement the first couple months too. Really glad I watched this video because this is almost exactly how I wrap my hands, the only differences are that I never do the single wrap around my thumbs but I will try that next time I wrap my hands and that when I use 120" wraps instead of 108" wraps, I do 3 around my wrist to start and 3 around my knuckles right after instead of 2 and 2 like in this video.

0:30 If you hit PROPERLY without wraps you won't hurt your wrist, if you mess up once tho you can sprain your wrist. Wrap every time, BUT ocassionaly AND carefully hit the bag without wraps. So you can get an feel for punching without the support (for self defense)

This could be added in a good fighters hygiene series, i basically wear wraps to absorb sweat so my glove stay fresher when i hang them to dry, i don't go hard enough in sparring to warrant the wrist protection, but it does prevent my gloves from smelling.
