There are laws that protect service dogs. They are treated as government employees/officers/soldiers. So any person who harms a service dog can in fact face jail time and be charged a felony. Not all dogs are capable of being service dogs though. That is where animal cruelty laws come in to protect those other types of animals that are harmed by people. I understand though what you mean regarding places such as kill shelters. They are an unfortunate byproduct of carless owners who do not spade or neuter their pets, illegal puppy mills, or owners who get rid of animals like trash. It's dangerous though to punish a careless public because that leads to private kills. My thoughts to you is be the change you want to see. I volunteer with animals, donate money when I can, and donate used items in desperate need.

If they lost the sense of smell of someone they are chasing, the handler will always be the one the takeover until the dog could pick up the smell again and start the pursuit again I've seen some crazy drugs hiding, there's an experiment where someone literally put a plastic wrapped drugs inside a concrete and freaking cemented it, also putting a bag of ice on top and inside the car. The dog found it almost immediately

@Mizzriah5 жыл бұрын

i have a question with this training proccess. i’ve heard that although they are put into good training programs, there’s this one step into the learning proccess where they test to see their knowledge to commands and if they don’t do it, then they are given a painful punishment, but they aren’t hurt severely. not sure what it’s called but they have like 2 ropes or leashes on their necks and they pull each rope the opposite way making then squeal. not sure if its true or not
@PezerettaDarling5 жыл бұрын
Not true
@luxaholicanonymous25774 жыл бұрын
That practice of choke chains is in humane. Hope this is not true........
@Purplesquigglystripe2 жыл бұрын
That is true that adversive collars are used as seen in this video. The collars can end up doing damage to their neck vertebrae over time because of the numerous yanks on their collars over the course of their careers. K9 trainers that have switched to not using these adversives for training commands like sit or down report that their dogs learn and remember these commands much better. They are also less sensitive to the handler’s moods, so they perform more consistently. You can see in this series that these dogs are really hesitant with even basic commands. I suspect they haven’t really trained the commands all that well because of their over reliance on training collars. The dogs end up learning that they need to wait for them to yank on their collars to do a down or sit, instead of just responding to the commands.
