Just so enjoyable watching you out in the woods with all your gear. I can visualize myself out there with you basking in the great outdoors. I'm getting on in years, and I don't seem to be able to walk "from here to there" anymore. About my only recreation is derived from watching people like you. Thank you, my friend.

Great video! Your videos are always very relaxing to watch and they motivate me to practice more bushcraft. Thank you for that! Hi Tom, beautiful spot, beautiful weather, beautiful steak!! It has been a real privilege to share this trip with you and I appreciated all the extra time you put in editing the footage etc when perhaps you would rather be doing more bushcraft! Just a quick tip regards getting amadou to take a spark, fluff up a small bit just like you do with the birch bark and as long as it’s been processed properly you shouldn’t have any problems. I wish I could say it was my idea but I have to confess I saw Ray Mears do it some years ago!! Thanks once again for such a great video, kind regards Clive.

half the fun of bushcraft videos is getting hungry form the food, and imagining how it must smell and taste out there. I sometimes cook in my garden to get the feel a bit. must be careful tho. he gets away with all that food because of all the hiking. bushcraft videos can make people who dont go out a lot get fat :-p

Where do you live Paul?
@huntshackwildernessexperie68206 жыл бұрын
I live in the far north of Ontario Canada. I'm in the boreal forest with a bit of the taiga type terrain mixed. The whole county here has almost 300 people. We do have about 40000 bears. many moose, wolves, lynx, wolverines, cougar rarely and smaller game. I harvest bear, moose, beaver, grouse and fish as part of our food. It is beautiful here also in a different way than the beauty of your home. I have wild rivers, and many thousands of km. of wilderness all around me. The nearest village to buy anything at, even gas for vehicles is an 80 km. round trip. It's a handy place for the outdoors person.

We have similar taste. I commented on another video about the saw you had (the Agawa Canyon boreal21). I have and use that exact same saw. I also have a hat exactly like that! Funny coincidence.

Another wonderful video, as usual. Do you have to reserve that shelter, before you drive all that way! Most campsite’s around here stat pretty full all summer. I’m fortunate that my backyard borders on a small creek and I’m surrounded by woods.

Some shelters you have to reserve 😉 but not this one And I only use them during the week and not in weekends where most people want to use them 🏕🔥🌲☀️ Tom

We definitely well. It is real interesting to see the accommodations at the campsites there (cabins). I wish they would have such throughout the USA, it would have help facilitate going more places. But, then they might be vandalized too? I would certainly hope not. Stay well my friend. Can't wait to watch more from you. Thanks again for sharing your experiences with us.

Dejligt at se denne optagelse igen fra Maj 2018....det er som om at verden bare ikke har fungeret efter 2019....jeg håber sommeren 2022 bliver enden på pandemien og vi får normale tider igen. Tak for din behagelige måde at være på Tom.

Love your videos, so relaxing. I am thinking of buying a small hatchet about the size of yours. My friends love the collapsable Sven saw but I think a hatchet would be a good complement to the Sven saw. I know a full-length axe works better than a hatchet, but it’s a bit too big for my backpack. What your opinion on axes, hatchets and saws? Thanks.
@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Richard for your feedback and interesting question 👍🏻😉 I prefer a small axe ore hatchet because it’s more versatile and easy to carry around. But if you are going to cut big pieces of wood a big axe is of course the best for the job 👍🏻😁 Regarding a saws … I have 2 folding saws … an Opinel because it’s old school 💪🏻 and a Silky saw because its the best ( after my opinion) However I’ve been looking for a folding bucksaw ( we call them framesaw ) for a long time, and finally found one in GB who makes them by hand It comes with two blades … one for dry wood and one for fresh wood 👍🏻🌲🌳 I’m looking very much forward to receiving that and will make a review about that when I get it. Hope my feedback can help you in your quest for that perfect wood tool for you 😎 Atb to you my friend 🏕🔥🦌

@@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag very helpful. I think I will go for a small hatchet. My friend is likely to bring his collapsing Sven saw so I think a hatchet will give some versatility. I forgot to mention I also have a folding saw, which is a bit smaller than yours. Thanks.

You make your eggs the best way. Cooked in bacon grease. My grandfather taught me to do that when I was a child. It's 1am in the morning here and I'm fighting the urge to go make eggs and bacon. I better go to bed before the urge wins.
