Google maps location sharing! I'm in the same boat as you... Husband and kids are all iPhone users. I am a android user. In order for us to stay connected with location until one of us physically turns it off, Google maps 😉I hope this helps you. I know it was frustrating for myself as a mother when I finally caved and let my daughter switch to apple.... 🙏🏼

Hi, I know that this is an old post, but I have a question. We have a family member that takes a public transit vehicle to their day program each day. Sometimes the driver takes a long route or gets lost or takes a detour which delays the arrival. I wish to track the route by perhaps putting an old smartphone in her purse so at the end of the day it shows us on a map the exact route taken. I don't need it to be a live feed as the old smartphone won't have a SIM card. Is there an app you recommend for this?

​@@DanSlotea No..To receive a phone call we don't need data or wifi...If one of our family member use phone(old model keypad) which they don't have data/wifi connection option, how do we track their location..that's what asking here

@@sri12345ask short answer is you can't. If that person is in danger, the emergency services can triangulate the position based on the cell towers with more or less accuracy. You will not get that information directly, however. So no data, no data sharing.
