At this point, Kani's life resembles a lot to that of Dr Jaisree, staying as a partner in a non romantic relationship. Perhaps this comes easier because Kani is familiar to community living from childhood.

First of all I want to say that any style of relationship that involved individuals designs among themselves for harmonious living are to be appreciated and learnt from. But i have lots of questions after hearing this. Kani said that Anand is extremely monogamous and has found another such partner for himself. Then by definition there's no primary or secondary partners. They are their own couple/partner whatever the term is. Kani is not the secondary partner. This primary, secondary terms are valid only within a polyamorous circle with a primary partner and metamours. The metamours being the secondary, tertiary and so on. Anand and his partner, from what I understood from the interview, are a monogamous couple. So emotionally pair bonded and sexually exclusive. And Kani has only emotional and intellectual resonance with Anand sans any sexual-romantic dynamic. Isn't this just good, close friendship? Why is the word partners being used still? Is it just a semantic issue or denial from Kani's end? Also a monogamous person values the emotional pair bonding that he/she have with their partner, it's not just about sex. Is the emotional connection that one have with their partner the same as one have with their friends? Won't the flavour of the connection and priority assigned to a partner differ from others? Is Kani just hanging onto loose threads? All unconditional love sounds very beautiful until one have limited time and energy. Whatever be, I wish all of them peace, love and happiness ❤
