Timely video. I was just ruminating about letting go of attachments to the way things used to be and making room for what is here now. I am thinking of a very dear old friend / ex lover (together 30 yrs) who has a crystal meth addiction and recently diagnosed with a brain tumor from stage 4 melanoma (on top of a 20 yr history of being HIV+). When I think about your issue with the old shirts mixed in with the new ones and how it was time to throw out the old ones because it was time (anicca). I can see that I have to let go of the old ideas about who we were and see things for what they are and who we are today. I will try to accept that I can not ease his pain or be the light in his darkness but I can be there as an anchor, but first I need to throw away the idea of who and where we were and accept who and where we are.
