Here we go again!
This time it's a dead Jeep in South Carolina.
Hasn't ran in a month, and the owner wants it figured out right without shooting the parts cannon :)
We are on the right track, but then the Jeep throws a curve ball....
Enjoy!
Ivan

Josh Brooks, did your jeep just die while driving, with no crank ? Did you have a DTC P0688 ? That's what my 2006 wrangler did 2 years 5 months ago and had not even reached 100,000 miles, and since, has been acting as a 4,000 lb driveway ornament because a replacement computer was not available. I finally purchased one which arrived a couple of days ago, but it still has no crank !

@@broncowrangler thanks for your quick reply ! My scanner has communication with ECM and TCM ( automatic trans) with old computer but no crank. After installing new computer, still no crank. Fuel pump now works with new computer. I have continuity on wires that I have checked. Puzzling, this one is. I keep watching this video over and over trying to figure out what I'm missing ? Hope your wrangler is still running strong !

Volt drop the wiring to battery positive. You will see a reading over 0.300v. I suspect the fault is at the terminal 30 connection. There will be a buzz bar or harness connector where any terminal 15 and 30 circuits gets its power from .

I'm currently working on a 07 PT Cruser... Was very intermittent then no start at all... Bad actuator between lock cylinder and actual starter switch... Very common on Chryslers of these years. When key is turned to "start" a plastic pin is pushed into starter switch ... This pin wears down... On mine you replace the whole ignition lock assembly...(metal pin also wears down)...
