WooCommerce Payments and Stripe and PayPal Gateway Set-up for 2022 | Business PayPal | Credit Card

When using WooCommerce, it's important to get the Payment Gateways right. In this updated 2022 video, I'll show you why I install and set up the WooCommerce Payments before Stripe or PayPal and why you need a Business PayPal account.

Really valuable info. Coming back to eCommerce after a break....and back then it was only really PayPal buttons available unless you wanted to set up a full bells and whistles merchant account via banks - which was complex, expensive (and back then meant you had to physically go and meet with your bank in your branch!!!). This helped me get back up to speed, and learn how much easier things are with e-commerce payments now.

Your awesome, you explain everything so well, wish most others would do it like you ;) As you have experience with Stripe and PayPal, can I ask how I can achieve the following: Customer buys product on website - Admin gets % commission - Seller gets rest paid out? So in other words, split payment to admin and seller? Automatically? Is there a plugin for Stripe and one for PayPal?

Do it for them, but charge to set up. Or they could do it, though I suspect they may not get it right. The charge for you to do it or to fix should be the same cost.

I ended up having the client make a stripe account and will just connect it that way instead of setting up an account inside WooCommerce. Happy to hear any feedback. Cheers!

Stripe can take a week but PayPal can be instant as you withdraw

Do you need both PayPal and Stripe? is there any advantage to having both? Does it work when both are connected? If I heard correctly, Stripe was need to customers to use Apple Pay or Google Pay? Seems like it would make reconciliations difficult to have both.

PayPal is instant when you require withdrawal. Stripe can take 7 days to pay you.

Hi, woo-commerce has a payment option paypal, but doesn’t accept direct credit cards payments to all countries. My country is not on the list with countries that I can receive direct credit cards payments from woo commerce payments module. Any solution? Thanks!

Hello Bro I was in the process of setting up PayPal Card Processing and I was prompted: Credit Card processing for your account has not yet been activated by PayPal. If your account is new, this can take some days. Otherwise, please get in contact with PayPal. I don't know how to solve this problem, please advise

It’ll be the routing number. The process is now more slick as it gives step by steps instructions when you go through the payment gateway.
