Hi everyone!! It's been awhile, but I'm back with a NEW VIDEO!! I hope you enjoy it. 😊 I've tried to keep you all updated on Instagram & Twitter about why I haven't been able to upload regularly. If you missed those or don't have socials I do plan to make a life update video here on my channel soon. And, of course new artsy, crafty videos will be coming VERY SOON!! (Next week to be exact!! I have hired a part-time video editor to help me out so I won't have to skip as many weeks when life gets overwhelming. Thank you all so much for your support!) Have a great weekend! ♥︎ Sarah

The donut looks great! I made Christmas ornaments from small slices of wood from my yard. I wood burned the outline of Minnesota on one side. On the other side I wrote Merry Christmas from Minnesota. Drilled a hole and added twine. They turned out really nice.

Hi Sarah, wonderful video! I like how the donut turned out, please learn from my mistakes and prepare your surface. The natural acids in the wood will eat your paint and it will disappear! You can use simple Gesso but sometimes watercolor doesn’t work very well on this, I bought a product called Watercolor Ground mine was from QoR but several companies make it, find the cheapest in your area. You can put it right on top of the wood plank or seal it first with gesso. I like the brownish color around the rim, but it is un-sealed and no good, maybe an acrylic gold? Or seal it and re-paint? I know some KZbinr’s do not care how long their Art lasts, but I believe that you can sell your amazing art and I know you care about your customers and want your art to last a lifetime. You can ask around for other advice, I know that you are friends with several other artists who would be happy to help you with these questions, Robin Clark or Alice Cole come to mind! I wish you only the very best and I am looking forward to watching your next video, whenever you post it!

Im watching you and nerdecrafter. I love watching the crafts you do between the two of you. I am right now doing diamond painting. Would love to be able to do woodburning and stuff like that. My ceilings in my apt are 12 feet high. So i have alot of wall space to decorate. And no wall decorations. Basically my walls are naked. Right now with the lack of some furniture and wall decor it doesnt feel very homey. Im still on medical leave (unpaid) do to my back issues. So im broke on top of that.

Hey, :) My daughter and i love your videos. I have a question, Where did you get your wrist brace? I broke my wrist 2 days before Christmas putting out a house fire and it didn't heal properly. I need a little bit of wrist support and your brace looks comfortable. I don't think i can pull off the pink though lol. -Thank you!

Oh no! I use a stone coaster to place the tip of my wood burner on. Someone has recommended a silicon baking sheet too. As long as you're very careful it should be okay to try again if/when you're ready.

@@SoCraftastic thank you very much for the advice and i am definitely going to try it again as soon as i find a safe way/place to use it again thank you very much for helping me with this i have been regretting the fact that i own a wood burning tool but doesn’t use it thank you
