I really like Jordy and i hope hes not offended but he sounds as dumb as me. but thats what makes him such a good teacher because he makes mistakes , drops things and gets mad at himself. It feels like i am there with him. no cut glass accent patronisingly telling me what to do ,it feels more like a mate who loves what he does and wants you to feel that way too. what a fantastic role model. He deserves to do well in life .

What do you recommend between rotary rasps (Saburrtooth) and carbide burrs (those with bevels for aluminum)? I have ordered exactly the burrs you have here at 0:06 (with 6 mm shaft, for die grinder), because Saburrtooth is not present in Romania, and I should order in Germany. Cost is about the same, but I thought the carbide burrs must be stronger than the rasps. What is your opinion?

But have a question about Kutzall extreme Taper burr. Because now i need that shaped burr and saw some comments about how bad it is and bended burr photos. Have you ever accidentaly bent taper burr ? or what i can do for not bend ?🤔
@CarvingFusion2 жыл бұрын
I myself have never bent a burr, just snug it rite up to the collet and pull it out a few mill and tighten it up. People that bend the burrs probably have them sticking out to far and running there dremel full speed. Hope it helps

Great video! I'm a new carver and starting with signs for my community. I'm curious about speed. I'm carving simple signs, like "Speed Limit 15 MPH" signs. I'm working with pressure treated leftovers from my neighbor's decks and fences. Pretty sure some are pine (soft, right?) and no name wood. All have been aged. I can transfer the letters, follow along, but at what speeds do I want to go? I tend to be hesitant to really crank up the speed. Is higher speed better for cutting the letters in or slow and low? (This question may seem simple, but I'm simple and not very confident at this point. Sorry.)
