My son in law has built a bar in his back garden and for the bar top he’s used a scaffold board and it’s rough and dirty. He would like to seal it with something but doesn’t want the colour to change massively. What would you recommend using? And should be sand first as it’s really really rough to the touch.

This is very educational, thank you for the interesting videos. I was in the process of staining my staircase, after ripping off the dingy carpeting that was on it. I didn't really know what I was doing, but I did know what I wanted. Thank goodness I came across your videos. They are so easy to follow and I learned exactly what I needed to complete my staircase to look professional instead of what probably would have looked like a half finished attempt at my desired goal. I look forward to more such videos as my next project is to paint my stained kitchen cupboards white.

I'm glad I found this video. I have a pine cabinet that I've been oiling for years and wanted to start with wax so I could get a bit of shine on it. But the guy in the hardware store told me that I can't use wax if I've already used oil. Somehow I thought he didn't really know but didn't want to admit it. So finally I looked around YT. Aha! I haven't used the wax yet because I now know that I can't go back to oil and I do like the oil's natural staining effect. But it sure is good to know what's possible.
