Thats not a mechanic's hammer or an engineer's. Thats used in metal smithing like copper gold silver etc the chisel shaped back is for stretching metal and the front for flattening out marks from the back

Secondly there is more than one use for a tool. I use tools in many different kinds of work amd still use the same tools lol
