Just stumbled on your channel and really enjoying your videos. I'm in northern NJ and Sassafras is pretty common. I also never turn it down. I especially love it for medium-sized kindling. I start most of my fires with birch bark and very thinly split pine and then add in the Sassafras before finally layering in Beech or Oak etc.

Hey there! Thanks! I plan on doing more. I use it the same way. It's always nice to have something that will catch and burn with a few sticks. Some wood is stubborn!
