You know, the way you create such a natural, flowing transition from trunk to sculpture, you remind me of Michelangelo. When asked how he made all those masterpieces, he answered: "Oh, I don't really do anything. They are trapped inside the marble slab and I just help them free themselves!" By the way, Sophia is the Greek word for Wisdom. What a becoming name for the Lady of the Woods! Also, thank you for the excellent music choice!

Rod KB again🤪😇 I really liked the way my routing of my bowl and resin turned out. ? What router do you use and do you have a plunger attached? I used my small handheld and it was kinda iffy 🤔 It was fun though and I’m gonna do some more. Thanks for your help Buddy! Fire in the Hole! Mate 🐸🔱⚓️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@RHumphrey Жыл бұрын
Hey, brother, I'm glad things went well. Yep the full size routers will offer more stability for sure. I use a Porter Cable (standard) and a Craftsman Professional with plunging. Most of my routing has been done without the plunging, but I do both and don't really have a preference. Either way you have to set your depth, though with the plunger it may be a bit steadier initial plunge. Fire for Effect! 😁
@kbtreefrog5653 Жыл бұрын
Fire for Effect! I love it! Haven’t heard that in awhile🤪🤣 Thanks for the quick response and I’ll start looking for a router with a plunger. I kinda figured it would help out and be safer. Keep up the awesome work Bother! 🐸🔱⚓️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 KB out

Rod, I’ve watched a couple of your videos where you used a router to cut designs in platters/ bowls. Beautiful work! I tried one myself today. It turned out ok but I have some questions, if you don’t mind? What router would you suggest? How deep? And what size bits? Also, I noticed that you wear a dive watch? I know you with the Corps Where you in recon? Thanks for all your videos and help! Still learning!🤪🤣 KB out 🐸⚓️🔱🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@RHumphrey Жыл бұрын
Hey, KB, thank you for watching my videos! For the router, I don't have a preference on brands. For the router bit, I use usually use a 7/16" long 1/8" straight bit, and I max out that depth the full 7/16". This allows for a 1/8" mortise and 1/16" of leeway on the interior bowl bottom for material removal, leaving a nice 1/4 inch final thickness. Hope that helps! Actually, I have a couple Seiko Sharp Edge GMT watches and the bezels are for alternate time zones. Handy for travel. The others are Chronograph watches because I'm a racing fan... F1 mostly. In the Corps, I was an Infantry Marine for over 20 years... I see your trident... SEAL? Thanks again, KB!
