Heath there’s an old saying we had in the materials handling industry.. “Never enough time to do it right the first time, but always time to do it a second time”. I realize the difficulties you suffer, with A.D.D. You have stated that fact on many of your videos. Don’t beat yourself up on it.. if you can slow down a bit that might help. This is just my take on your situation.. I also realize that as much as you show on your videos there is also life that happens the rest of the time.. We enjoy the content you choose to share and wish you and Cedar all the success in the world..

I am a 65 year old grandma. I enjoy your channel so much. You remind me of my father. He was a rigger/mechanic, he would always find a way to fix the problem... When he was 59 he had a stroke and was in rehab. The family went to visit him and witnessed his speech therapy. His therapist asked my father a series of questions. She asked him "Mr. Burns what do you hit a nail with?" His answer was "A crowbar". She came back with "No Mr. Burns you use a hammer" In his defense we the family jumped in all in unison and said "no he uses a crowbar"(He would use a crowbar for everything). He was the only person I ever met that actually twisted a crowbar.... I still have that crowbar! I miss my Dad. Thank you for the memories.

I heated my house for 40 some years with a wood stove I built, built a 3 story mt home and heated it with another stove I built. Have never used a damper in either stove. I controlled the air flow with small inlets in the door to allow the amount of air to enter. Neither stove ever had a smoke issue. Try to control the fire with inlets and see if that changes anything. I like the way you did the top on your 6x6 turned out good.
@Tomm9y
@Tomm9y 2 жыл бұрын
Yep I've always controlled the inlets, although you can't shut them down too far or you'll create a fire risk in the chimney. Best of all is to use a stove with an underfloor inlet supply, that way the fire is not drawing air from the room, i.e. your warm air.

I absolutely love watching your videos. Everything you do is like a teaching moment. I am 53, live in BC Canada and my passion is riding my Harley. I will never run a farm, I lived on one for 5 years when my mom and dad decided they were going to buy a farm and we moved out of the city lol It was torture for me lol however i learned a lot and i find myself LOVING watching all the things you do for your family and farm. I have been watching since the day you came to look at this farm. I have never left a comment but i felt i should this time. I am always telling my wife what you are all up to after the videos and im pretty sure she thinks im crazy, as i talk about you like i actually know you all. lol I hope you keep doing these videos as you have a big fan in Canada here. :) Sam

How about some aluminum sheeting on the brackets of the solar panel...back and sides? Then the snow can't accumulate behind the panels. Then, run some 12v heat tape around the back of the aluminum edges of the panels. Problem of snow solved.

To help with the snow build up under the solar panel array maybe consider defrost heater wire across the main unistruts connected to the roof panels. Your weather conditions are about to change rapidly and I have observed that you and Cedar are a great team and you both prioritize well. Be safe Rhette your family needs you and God bless. Amen

Thank you for understanding the music on your channel is background and not foreground. So many of the videos on youtube have their music louder than the voices which mean I am constantly turning the sound up and down. Plus they pick some very ugly music. You on the other hand keep your music very soft and it does not drown out you and Cedar. You also pick music that is easy on the ears. Thank you for this. You have a great channel.

Years ago....a horse barn had a wooden block floor. Instal blocks of wood were laid like paving stones. This was a way to protect the HOOFS of the horses from the freezing cold ground and also provided amless tiring floor for the critters. Later a friend of mine did the same thing in his machine shop where employees stand all day in one spot running machines and etc.

Whilst it's true that "Cheap doesn't always mean Quality" it's also sadly true that "Expensive doesn't always mean Quality". There's a lot of expensive shiny junk waiting to be bought by people that don't know what they're buying, so cheap junk is a wiser purchase than expensive junk (unless you're happy to sell your expensive junk to others).

You are Absolutely correct not having enough time during the day and also correcting someone else's work. I too was a plumber once promoted from just a plumber to oversight troubleshooting fixing other employees screw ups was time consuming but overall enjoyable it not only satisfied the customer it also helped educate other employees to be more efficient at their jobs. You my friend do an incredible job with little time to do it and fabricate new into something that should of been that way from the beginning been there done that. Interesting though I do am learning a few things from you too. Myself I would of used 16guage sheet metal for the roof of your six wheeler and saved the money and time to refabricate it into a working roof. Willb awesome too see what the new power amounts willb and also the CEDAR MOTEL GOIN UP. GOD BLESS BE SAFE STAY WARM. JIM

Saves me time and money in the long run!!! Arkansas has lost 60 mins of daylight in one month, so got to get to winter chores asap!! Slowly getting thru all the medical crap for the year, so far good news! Our trees are dropping brown leaves, but colors should start soon!

On your 6x6, check the injection plenum which is rubber with a steel flange that attachers to the intake. On mine the rubber separated from the steel and developed an air leak which made it run rough and miss and backfire. I sealed mine up with some flex seal tape, problem solved.
