The thrush family is no joke. There are the A-Listers in the fam: Bluebirds and Robins. Bright, showy, loud, etc.
..
Then there are the Forest Magicians - aka the Woodland Thrushes (Hermit , Swainson's , Gray-Cheeked, Bicknell's and Wood Thrushes...as well as the Veery). The songs of these birds is unlike any other group on the continent. They have complex syringeal musculature that allows them to sing two songs at once - layered over each other.
