I think I could listen to this bird all day. It really is a very lovely sound.

Grew up mostly in Vermont, and later lived for a while In Cape Breton. I spent most of my youth and as much of my adulthood as I could in the woods. The thrushes and other birds that I loved bring tears to my now 70 year old eyes.

I just saw my very first Wood Thrush in my backyard today, in Pickerington, which is central Ohio. What a wonderful surprise that was! I had never seen one in my backyard before. My backyard has about 10 evergreens and one Locust tree, with lots of underbrush, such as the invading honeysuckle bushes. Just wow!!

I love this haunting early morning melody. I listen and wait for it's song which usually shows up in late May in my area

I kept hearing a bird call that sounded almost mechanical. Lo and behold, I figured out what bird it was!

They sing here all day every day. They're usually the last bird singing at the end of the day. Last year was the same. There is hope, at least in pockets. 🎶🎵 My rendition is; 🎶 "What the hell?" 🎵"I dunno..." 😂
