Really good to see you Kimsey - lovely job on turning this, it's a gorgeous piece of old wormy oak that a lot of people wouldn't bother with - sometimes I think the old bits of wood turn out looking the best! Anyway, hope you are all well - look forward to seeing you again soon 👍👍

I like this lot, Kimsey! I also like that you take on pieces that seem kinda far gone but then make the most beautiful art out of them, in this case, useful art! I think it has just the right amount of charcoal dust to accent your decoration on the bottom. Great job, my friend! 😊 Phil

Beautiful turning Kimsey, love the warm wood tones and you are correct the charcoal dust does give it an antique appearance. Thank you for taking the time to share your talents!

I really like this bowl. It’s nice that you can take a very rough piece of wood and turn it into a work of art. I also enjoy the music Thanks for sharing it.

Well i didn't see that coming, really thought after seeing it with all the bug holes it would just go POP, thought you was just being brave, but weren't it worth it, certainly was, didn't want any more charcoal dust for me just right, lovely grain on it. Cor now that's what i call a dinner, no wonder the coyotes was barking, should of seen the fluid running down me chin into me beard. Frosty, foggy, wet tad bit of snow here, nights pulling out every day to spring. All the best from Lincolnshire UK

Thanks Gary I appreciate it! Yep it had quite a bit of bug holes but the wood was pretty sound after cutting away the rotted stuff, I never thought about that, them ther coyotes could have been smelling that food cooking 😄 Take care have a good one !

That's the life..wood turning ,steak and tatters cooked on the fire..the good life.. Try one time.roast the potatoes over the fire slow..then make potatoe salad out of them. Good eats foe sure.
