In regards to the Two man basket stave planes at the 44 minute mark. Those symbols are called daisy wheels, they were used for layout and measurement. It might make for a good video idea. The channel "This House" has a short video called "What is a Daisy Wheel" about a very old stone home.

Have you ever thought of teaching a class on handplanes and hand tools / sharpening?

@@WoodByWrightHowTo i dont use hand planes or anything yet because indont even know where to begin but id like to learn because im limited to a bandsaw and table saw and a jointer but i want to learn maybe a few hand planes to start out with getting and eventually get some more hand tools to have more flexibility in what and how i can achieve what need to do. im a luthier but was never taught about hand tools other than a shinto rasp, files and sanding blocks because the school used machines for everything basically

That is a right angle brace. Yes it has a ratcheting mechanism in there. Most braces have a ratcheting mechanism this one just takes out the rest of the arm.

This is the national conference. So it's part of the conference fee.

It depends on the price of the conference center but this year's conference was $68 remember correctly that covers all three days and all events. There's also a Saturday only for $25.
