These tours are like taking your kids through a candy factory where they can't have any candy. You take great pleasure in handling and describing all the goodies but you never allow your audience to have ANY of it. BTW, I have always though that the cabinet c=scraper is and= underused tool that a=can do wonders to bringing wood down to a final smooth plane. You seem to ignore using them in your work, Why not?

I use the cabinet scraper from time it time, but generally I prefer the hand plane I find it to be a bit faster. if the grain gets really wild and I don't want to set up the plane with in an inch of its life I will pull out the cabinet scraper. I have several videos that show how to use and sharpen them. but they don't fit into my workflow that often. so just personal preference. I love then for epoxy work though. few things work as well on epoxy.

@@WoodByWrightHowTo I gathered that .. personal preference would be my main reason too. You don't seem to have near the problem setting your planes that I do. (Mine are not well maintained so they need work.) Your videos are attuned to the use of the hand planes and not so much at the finish line of the work. It is your schtick. That OK. Its your videos.
