GSW Mugs are made of carefully chosen wood of very high quality, combined and toughened with stainless steel hoops, rivets, and handles. Every part of mug is hand crafted, carefully combined together in one solid piece, and coated with acrylic polymer. Mug is extremly tough and durable, medieval design, keeps beverages cooler/warmer for 2-3 degrese C in period of 45 minutes. Easy to clean (hand wash, dish washer etc), almost no maintance at all. Mugs provide very warm, pleasant, avanturistic, some would say, fantasy feeling. Perfect for gamers, bars, gatherings, gifts etc.

+Deric Kettel Just cut the cloth-backed sandpaper into strips, drill a hole on one end and line them up on a screw with a washer and nut. Simple and effective;)

I expected you to make 2 mugs in 1 and to then cut the piece in half, like you do then you make a box with a lid. Thanks for making this entertaining video. Personally, I think that the people complaining about the price of these mugs, they have no clue how much time goes in making a product. Haters will always be haters. I've got one of these mugs, and they're absolutely worth the price. Excellent craftsmanship and it's easily become my favourite mug. I've actually been considering getting another one. One of the really expensive ones made from bog oak. :D

Very interesting! I recently received a set similar to these that my German born great-great grand father made. They are beautiful, he was a pattern maker and as I understand very talented and helped design some intricate devices. Anyway, the banding he used appears to be strap strap and it is broken and soldered in places, I going to guess from the wood expanding from humidity or moisture, as the finish is very thick. I see that you use a seamless steel tubing. Great workmanship and Thank you for posting this video!

That is probably true. Wood need to be stabilized in order not to absorb moisture or to "breath". That is why we have special coating that prevents that. Thank you for commenting! :)

You do a fairly good job of welding the outside curve on the handles but you completely miss the inside curve

Hi David, thank you, since we currently use MIG process, it's a bit difficult to grind flush the weld on the inside. It does not affect sturdiness of the handle, but we will upgrade hopefully soon for aesthetics ;) Thanks for comment :)

i felt like crying honestly, the craftsmanship, good music, beer mugs, and beer, and the end scene, having a drink with the boys..man...like come one now, good o'l times right there, haha now, what i would like to know, is if you add a metal piece inside the mug, or is it all just wood? because ive seen some wood mugs that have the metal inside, and im not a big fan of that

Just WOW! I'm pretty sure there is a reason behind why the big box stores don't make cups from wood....because of diseases, decomposition of the wood, expansion & contraction of the wood....

+Danger_5150 Well, mugs are coated with several layers with dental plastic(pretty expensive), and they are tested in health institute for sanitary permit :) Wood isnt expending anymore, there is no decomposition ( well, not for many decades at least), no diseases since you can wash it (even in dishwasher), and no contraction :) We are also coating mugs with bee wax if customer want that, to preserve the spirit and originality of wood.

I do medieval armor too, I made a chainmaille vest by hand out of 7 ga galvanized wire. unfortunately I broke 2 pairs of pliers and my main bolt cutters. very cool mugs btw.
