I have two questions and a tip. Question 1 - I noticed that the corner was significantly warped at the end, so much that the spray finish caused it to rock back & forth. Is the entire thing warped or just that corner? Anything you were able to notice that caused it? Question 2 - What do you intend to use this for? Can't be anything where it has to be structurally strong, given both how thin it is and that it's already warped. Tip: An old credit card works awesome for spreading epoxy.

definitely a great start. id suggest a better mold so that the piece cannot bow or warp while curing. a planer would also be a lot better, i know you said you don't own one at this time though. I'd love to get one of those as a cutting board! not sure if the materials used would be food safe but I'm sure there are ways of doing this that are food safe. all in all I think the finished product looks gorgeous!
@MostlyWood7 жыл бұрын
Thank for the feedback! almost everything except the spray laquer is food safe if thought

Mostly Wood would a mineral oil wipe be sufficient? I would think it would just leave the resin greasy feeling as its a non porous plastic type material

very sketchy to drag the material under the running blade like that. If the piece jammed your hand is headed straight for the saw blade. Otherwise cool idea !

it's dangerous we know, but we don't own a planer and sanding it down would take ages.

Yes a planer will be faster and we strongly advise to use it but we don't own one yet.
