In this video I build a wooden serving tray using some scrap maple and walnut. This tray will allow me to bring a plate of stakes, burgers, utensils and spices out to the grill in one trip.
Summer is coming (I think) and this is a perfect project to get you ready for the outdoor cooking season. I don't know about you but I love grilling dinner for my family on the grill and this will save me trips in and out of the house giving me more time to work in the shop!!

Nice looking tray! I think one may be in my future for a gift for a friend. As for your boots, as a 48 year wearer of leather work boots, I’ve found the best way to break them in is put them on, step in a bucket of warm water, let the boot get good and wet, wear them until they are dry. They are so comfortable you don’t realize you have a boot on!

Outstanding tray and video!! In addition to wanting to try my hand at making one, you've made me want to grill a few steaks even with 12" of snow currently on the ground and a -5 degree weather forecast here in the Chicago area! :)

Tyler that was a sweet tray. I’m just getting started in wood working and I’m dedicated to becoming as good as you are if not better. I would appreciate if I could reach out to you in the future for your advice and guidance on creating excellent products. Oh yeah, who won the second tray and the pair of boots? Lol.

Great project. Question about your finish. I love arm r seal. But thinking about stepping away from it. One issue is that when I get to half a can and it starts hardening. I see you have the bottle version. Do you have that issue with it?

Just curious about wood movement i saw u made the bottom pretty thin prob like 3/8” or so but the side wall pieces especially the handles have different grain pattern and with wood movement wont they pull away when shrinking/expanding

Getting ready to make a similar type of tray and found this on your channel. I subscribe but must've missed it before. Quick question in the event you are monitoring the comments and willing to respond. How thick did you make the sides, end handles, and bottom. Looks like you planed to about 3/8" thick but I can't be sure due to how the camera distorts shapes and sizes.

Great video. My only gripe is re: the giveaway. And this is by no means unique to you Tyler because many you tubers & social media folks who do giveaways fall into this- but the requirement to partner with a company like Gleam Promotions that requires access to your Facebook account rubs me the wrong way. Esp. In light of all the recent revelations re: what data fb & companies like Gleam are gathering about us. Even with privacy settings and sharing settings completely restricted one can still wonder what granting them access truly entails about your privacy. Of course I don’t have to participate it’s optional but it would be nice if there was a giveaway that didn’t have to be associated with a fb account. Like old school, non social media account linked, click here put your name in and one random winner picked. No “we need access to your fb”.
