Wooden Window Latches [Woodworking Project]

After making some window handles and bolts from wood in my last video, I thought I'd show you how I made some window latches recycled from an old piece of bed frame.The Sapele pieces were surplus from a factory.
They're really useful for keeping the windows open but not crazy and swinging all over the place. The pine from the bed frame is a really nice colour against the brown of the shed and the sapele. If I did this again I would maybe make the latches from a more solid wood that moved less with the humidity changes.

Nice. I like seeing mechanical devices made of wood. I imagine these are the type of solutions our great great great grandpas came up with before everything was made in a factory.
