Deep in the ocean, dead and cast away Where innocence is burned in flames A million mile from home, I'm walking ahead I'm frozen to the bones, I am... A soldier on my own, I don't know the way I'm riding up the heights of shame I'm waiting for the call, the hand on the chest I'm ready for the fight and fate The sound of iron shots is stuck in my head, The thunder of the drums dictates The rhythm of the falls the number of deaths The rising of the heights ahead From the dawn of time to the end of days I will have to run away I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste Of the blood on my lips again The steady burst of snow is burning my hands, I'm frozen to the bones, I am A million mile from home, I'm walking away I can't remind your eyes, your face

I have seen him live in Lyon (Woodkid's hometown if I am not mistaken) 2 years ago. An 'experience' is the right word to describe it I believe. The music, the atmosphere, the lights, the excellent musicians combined with the scenic presence of Mr. Lemoine just merge to create something that is truly unique and incredibly powerful!
@violetmoon15877 жыл бұрын
Its rare for any concert to be like that, from what I've heard from you and others every Woodkid concert is striking in how it makes you feel. They have a resonanace that people feel and don't forget. I'm very jealous of those who see him live.

This song is a time capsule, especially when talking about gaming culture (yes I'm a filthy casual who only knows Woodkid because of Assassin's Creed). The Game Grumps were a small channel while Tobuscus was a runaway juggernaut, Assassin's Creed was fresh and not a glitchy, rushed mess and E3 was an important show. None of these are true anymore.

Woodkid is like the artist for artists. Super deep meaning in everything and you've got to be a content creator to be able to appreciate how much effort goes into even the "annoying" beginning.
