I love this as much as the original. The original feels more like a true war anthem, where as this is something of a tragic end to a warrior. Consider all the great heroes of the past & in their last moments, this version is played in their minds. Has quite the impact.

This is one of the things that makes me proud of the human race, forget the reasons for the battles and who won and who lost, there was great warriors from each era, wether they were Aztec warriors in the jungles, vikings exploring/raiding other lands, cowboys in the west, Soldiers landing on the beaches at dday, samurai from japan or crusading Templar’s the world has created some incredibly intimidating and almost godly men and women who have fought for there families, countries or beliefs.

Ezio's last letter to Sofia (AC Embers) "When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment."

Deep in the ocean, dead and cast away Where innocence is burned in flames A million mile from home, I'm walking ahead I'm frozen to the bones, I am... A soldier on my own, I don't know the way I'm riding up the heights of shame I'm waiting for the call, the hand on the chest I'm ready for the fight and fate The sound of iron shocks is stuck in my head, The thunder of the drums dictates The rhythm of the falls the number of deaths The rising of the horns ahead From the dawn of time to the end of days I will have to run away I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste Of the blood on my lips again The steady burst of snow is burning my hands, I'm frozen to the bones, I am A million mile from home, I'm walking ahead I can't recall your eyes, your face

Caesar Galeana Actually I think those interviews show sort of ambiguous answers. He is french and the word "gay" actually means happy, so it could be a not very thought out translation. On the other interview, well.. everybody has an opinion about gay marriage, right? he could have just been expresing his. I don´t know, it wasn´t absolutelly clear to me. Anyways he is an excellent artis :)

Abraham Castrejón Haha I know, they were not the most explicit examples, but that's the best i could find. He's gay, he has said it in engish speaking interviews, he always sings for men, and in his instagram he says "Cute boys, DM me, im bored" every now and then. He's open about it, but he knows it's not something that define him or his art, that's why there's not a lot of proof out there haha. :)

Mandy - So? The like\dislike bar isn't there for Woodkid, it's there for us. Humans have a proven *need* to know wether something is liked or not. Some people even decide what they like (or don't) based on the opinions of those around them. We are social creatures, nobody can deny that. And criticizing a manifestation of our, err, social-creature-ness, is quite foolish, in my opinion.

It makes me sad that this does not get the attention it deserves, while crappy rap music is so popular.

Enjoy the loves of your life and let others choose there own path. Do not be sad for them and do not judge there choice of music. I say this because it makes me sad to read your comment concerned so much of everyone else.

Deep in the ocean, dead and cast away Where innocence is burned in flames A million mile from home, I'm walking ahead I'm frozen to the bones, I am... A soldier on my own, I don't know the way I'm riding up the heights of shame I'm waiting for the call, the hand on the chest I'm ready for the fight and fate The sound of iron shocks is stuck in my head, The thunder of the drums dictates The rhythm of the falls the number of deaths The rising of the heights ahead From the dawn of time to the end of days I will have to run away I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste Of the blood on my lips again The steady burst of snow is burning my hands, I'm frozen to the bones, I am A million mile from home, I'm walking away I can't remind your eyes, your face

... Tellement magnifique, dès les premières notes, transformée, transportée. Toujours plus haut, toujours plus loin... Woodkid...
