Join me on a day out doing some Woodland Photography at East Blean Woods near Herne Bay in Kent. I attempt to improve my woodland skills , i found myself using the Canon 70 to 200mm more and even the square crop more often than usual.
If you want to get in touch or like to see more of my social media all links are available on my website at www.leepelling...

Nice images Lee, I love woodland photography. I have missed all the fog this week having to work. Hoping its back for the weekend so I can have a wander down the wood. You have inspired me to just take the long lens

Hi Geoff , thanks for watching, i did find the long lens really helpful really helps isolate a subject and much nicer background blur at the longer focal lengths usually

£2.20 - that’s two-three hours for the central heating being on 😂 Great to see you out Lee and that looked a woodland that got better the time passed with some lovely silver birch and yellows in the latter images . Don’t know I’d it was intentional to shoot with 70-200 all the time but a great way to force yourself to seek out the woodland intimacy which I really enjoyed along with some beautiful colours. Whilst always a challenge it’s so relaxing to wander the woodlands and it looked like you were there for a good few hours and had a great time. Struggling myself to get out at the moment and missing it !! All the best mate 👍🏻

Thanks mate, was not intentional to shoot with the 70 to 200 just after the first shot I kept it on and found a few comps with it, think I spent over five hours there in the end , was a real welcome break from decorating, however the plaster is about dry so now have to mist coat it all and then paint , new skirting , architrave and window sill etc so I'll be busy a while myself , sadly 😥

A great vlog Lee, I think you got some great shots there - I particularly liked the puddle shot, they type of thing I tend to spot when I'm out but I'd be happy with all of those images. The long lens and polariser certainly worked well.

Some lovely colours in these images Lee - enjoyed the drone footage too. It was a pretty good autumn this year. I'm hoping for some snow now. 😊

Thanks mate, autumn has been good, sadly didn't get put as much as wanted but there you go , as for snow, its pretty rare this far south but hopefully we may get dusting , look forward to seeing what you manage to make of it 👍

Great video Lee! Yeah, woodland photography is quite difficult at times, at times things just pop out at you. All really lovely autumn images, but I think I liked the first one best (and I didn't think it was going to anything special looking through the back of your camera) - wow, was I surprised! Amazing contrast between the dead tree and the beautiful autumn foliage in the background! But as I said, all beautiful images to be proud of! Great work as always mate! Hope you are doing well over there!

Thanks Paul , was a welcome break from the DIY . Think i spent just over four hours wandering the woods, even got a little lost at one point but really enjoyable walk. Images are as always a work in progress , glad you enjoyed it. Doing well mate but be happier when all this decorating stuff is finished ! Hope you are also well, take care mate :-)

@@LeePelling Woodland photography is a real weakness of mine, as I generally try to include too much, and it just ends up looking chaotic. Will definitely be going out with the 70-200 next time. Cheers.
