Liked the laneway shot at 14:47 Lee, I would imagine in a few more weeks as the leaves turn, that would be quite spectacular.

Thanks Simon , its certainly worth revisiting to find out it's a pretty busy little road and the cars dont hang about , no footpaths so you have to pick your spot carefully to be able to see both ways , hoping to get to this location a lot earlier in the day next time so might not be an issue, take care mate

Another good local Vlog Lee. The large circular area is part of the sculpture trail, called the ring, I normally go just a bit further down the road to the small car park.

I thought you worked really well with the light you had Lee. The way you used the harsh light coming through the darker areas really made the images. Some great shots throughout, but the one at 14.48 is fantastic. 👍

Lee great to see you back mate!, and what a come back man, the light in the first image was really nice and those woods look the goods. The soft light @ 12:14 was sick man. Keep them coming mate loved this one.

Hi Jeremy , thanks so much , was good to get back out, just about into Autumn season here in the uk so the woodlands should all start to come to life with their autumnal colours , hope to get a few vlogs in during this period, the image at 12:14 was probably my favourite and probably the best woodland image i have taken to date imo, thanks for watching mate, hope your well and take care.

Hey Lee - nice to see you back at it mate. Banging shot at 15:00 and also the bit of ICM before it - I'm really enjoying ICM photography at the moment, so different. The 'caught my eye give it a try' shot ended up really nice as well. BTW got the PD Capture mount but the Manfrotto adapter I got is useless with my Manfrotto ball head - can't trust the thing at all, felt really loose. Apparently there is a better one on the market but out of stock on Amazon at the moment so gotta wait to put it to use - but thanks again for all your help with the research mate, much appreciated.....hopefully once I get the proper attachment it'll be great.

Really lovely video Lee! Beautiful woodlands you found yourself in. I'd say if you were struggling, you are doing pretty good! Some great images in this one. I'm a sucker for path or roadway shots and this had two beauties at 10:01 and 15:00! The one at 10:01 was stunning mate, really beautiful with that side light coming in! Really enjoyed this one pal. Hope you are doing well and keeping safe over there!

Thanks Paul, I was pretty happy with a couple of the images, not so much at the time but when I got the raw file on the computer, I was actually just looking for the light and trying to shoot it rather than the Forrest if that makes sense , glad you enjoyed it mate and yes we are fine here hopefully you and yours are also doing well.

Did you know that during WW1,two airships, were kept over night,in Kingswood? There are two shallow pits,on the south side, into which, the base of the airships, rested.

Hi mate, thanks for watching and leaving a comment , i did not know that about the airship, i did read that bombs were dropped all over that area , such terrible history in a beautiful place !

Excellent vlog Mate. Woodland Photography can be tricky but you certainly cane away with some great images, particularly the images at 08.45, 12.20 and the ICM image, 👍. Cheers for sharing Mate and take care, 👍📸

@@LeePelling it's always difficult to know what images you have as all you see I a JPEG on the small LCD. The woodland you visited looks as if it an offer a fair few compositions which is good. 👍📸

Hi Peter, thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, I do struggle with woodland but I have learned to try and look for the light and shoot that , hopefully the resulting images are improving from my first few outings of woodland photography! Thanks again , take care.

I have just bought the EOS R Lee so will be following your work to see how you perform with it 😉 I only got the RF 24-105 atm but have 2 old EF lenses and got the adapter so will have something to play with. Nice image to start... when your piece to camera went up after my immediate thought was wtf is that...lol !! I can see no fathomable reason why something like (statue / art) would be in a woodland, how weird.? Sayig that I was impressed with the shot you came away with, quite otherworldy, so out of place in its environment. Quick question.. does the L Bracket impede anything whilst using your camera ? Interesting here you discussing the crop tool - I have a similar thing on the S5... I save both jpeg & raw - the jpeg is baked in as you say but the raw is the full image. I liked the image of the birch but there appears to be some sort of thing stuck to the tree - I would have cloned that out? I think most of us struggle with woodland but I think I now take the approach now I take something I think looks ok and as you elduded to mid video it doesn't really cost anything if it doesn't wortk out. Also I think its a case of repeat visits and then our eyes should adapt to what we see.. thats my hope anyway..lol. atb Alan

Hi Alan, thanks for the comment, yes there was something stuck to the tree, it was a sign from the forestry commission saying about work in the area i did contemplate cloning it out but it never really bothered me enough tbh, Would like to have some RF lenses but only got the trinity EF glass and adaptor but they all seem to work really well with the camera anyway. As for the L bracket its not designed specifically for the EOS R but works really well with the built in peak design compatible plate on the bottom to fit the capture clip and arca swiss tripod mount. It slightly impedes the view of the screen when flip round for selfies etc but only by the thickness of the metal really and is never a problem. I was pretty happy with a couple of the images i came away with and have learned to look for the light and shoot that hopefully with some sort of subject within it , but seems to help me at the moment. I have been to this woodland several times as well as others and hope i have improved slightly with this genre but time will tell, autumn coming so sure there will be more woodland trips coming, take care mate, thanks again
